  1. Constant blank screen when choosing to save documents

Every time I edit a document and then choose to "save as" I just get a blank screen. I have to shut down my entire system and turn back on and it sometimes works, sometimes not!! This is clearly a bug in your system looking at the amount of times it has been reported.

  3. Latest patch of Acrobat does not display selections from Pitstop Pro

Update on Acrobat Pro, version 2021.007.20091 now does not display selections made by Pitstop Pro.
No options on either software has changed, selections are still made and information about the selections shows on the Inspector window, full functionality of Pitstop Pro remains, however Acrobat will not visually display the highlighted items.

  4. Editing text in the "text box" is F'in impossible

The ability to manipulate and edit the text in the text boxes is SOOOOO hard, I apply changes and they never take, I attempted to click on a current location on the text box and the box is not active by the time I attempt to type. I am to the point I have to RE-TYPE THE ENTIRE TEXT BOX JUST TO CORRECT OR ADD ONE THING. I don to think it should be so hard to do this.

  5. File release when closing in ACROBAT

I'm working everyday with thousands of PDF files for our repository www.ceeol.com. To maintain my overview in WINDOWS-Explorer, quite often I have to change the file names of the PDF-filess. For example, if I've downloaded 100 PDF-documents from a web page, which are a series of numbered documents, then I want to include the numbering in the file name. To do this, I have to open the files, read the number in the document, close the file again and then rename it accordingly.
    PROBLEM:
Renaming is not possible because ADOBE-Acrobat does not release the file, even if I close…

  6. Redaction not working properly

This expensive piece of software really is often total garbage. Gone through redacting information from 52 pages, applied it and the thing spazzes out and puts black lines everywhere that wasn't even selected.

    What the ****?

Thought, ah, must just be something tricky with the PDF so I printed to PDF to flatten it, did it again and it just got worse!

  7. Split a pdf and retain each individual page's thumbnail name!

Please, please, please make it so that I can split a pdf into individual pages and retain each individual page's thumbnail name! I do not want 100 pages named the same thing and just numbered 1-100. This would be so helpful in construction/architecture/engineering. The thumbnails are usually all named exactly what I need all the individual pages to be. Instead, I have to split document and then go back and rename them all to match thumbnails again. Would be such a time saver since it is already done by architects releasing the document!!

  10. W keyboard shortcut should work to insert text - please bring this shortcut back from Acrobat 11

"W" keyboard shortcut should work to insert text. I used this every day in Acrobat 11 and was dumbfounded when I "upgraded" to DC and it was gone. Acrobat is much less useful to me (and anyone else who annotates documents for a living) without Ctrl+W, and there's no workaround in DC. There's no way I can be the only one with this problem.

  11. Redact > Find Text fails with many documents (e.g. 200) in the search folder

This is my process under Windows 10, Acrobat acrobat DC 2015.00630527
Open any file (a bit silly, but you need that to access the Search Text command dialogue box - without a document the 'Find text' from the Redact toolbar is not greyed out, but nothing happens when you select it. Which in itself is a kind of bug).
Tools > Redact > From Redact toolbar select 'Find text'. A dialogue box opens. Select the folder with 200+ files. Enter the search string, make sure it is a search string that will find a hit in +200 files. Or maybe…

  12. Adobe Sensei for Acrobat

Adobe Scan can automatically crop, resize, and reduce distortion on images, producing decent quality PDFs. To do this it uses Adobe Sensei, a form of AI. Given there is currently no way to automate these steps on Acrobat or Photoshop, and so no way to automate these steps on a desktop at all, please could you create a feature to achieve Adobe Scan level automation within Acrobat.
    Adobe Scan features: https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/mobile/scanner-app.html

  13. It would be nice to be able to change the file name using without leaving the full screen mode in adobe. Also a "recent documents" dropdown

It would be nice to be able to change the file name using without leaving the full screen mode in adobe. Also a "recent documents" dropdown module or menu near the top right that shows a list of the most recently accessed documents.

  14. Font list incomplete for editing text. Styles missing

Acrobat's Font menu does not show all styles of installed fonts, particularly with Mac .ttc fonts (e.g. Helvetica Neue, Avenir) making it impossible to do spot edits.

  16. App crashes when editing hyperlink

I can replicate behavior. There are comments on certain hyperlinks in a document. With the comment selected, if I click on the hyperlink and then on edit, whenever I click on Actions, the app crashes. If I edit the link without the comment selected, app works OK.

  17. Checkbox in Comments Settings for "Auto detect pen hardware to enable markup" is missing

Adobe DC is supposed to have a checkbox in the Comments section of Settings (the last checkbox) that says "Auto detect pen hardware to enable markup". For some reason, it is missing on some of my computers that are using the same Windows 10 operating system and the same current version of Adobe DC. It is very frustrating because the absence of the checkbox means that you can't immediately markup a document with a pen and instead need to click through several layers of buttons in the comments section in order to use the pen. It is clearly a "glitch"…

  20. [BUG] Adobe Acrobat has encountered an unknown error

We have an application that generates PDF files using Quick Report library.
Those PDFs cannot be edited in Adobe Acrobat 2020 (Adobe Acrobat has encountered an unknown error) but they can be edited with other PDF tools such as SodaPDF.

I tried all methods listed in this forum but nothing worked.

The only solution is to print the PDF using the 'Adobe Printer' and then edit this file.
It's a simple workaround but quite painful when you have to do it dozens of times per day.

It would be nice if Adobe could provide a fix for an issue that…
