  1. 'Combine Files' doesn't combine. It creates 2 tabs, and that's not what I need. I need a single scrolling file of multiple pages. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. This new version is not intuitive or user friendly. It's visually ugly. There's too much clicking around to find the different tools that you need. Due to the weird organization, I'm wasting time trying to figure out how to get what I need. It's not efficient. Frankly, I hate everything about it.

  2. Hello,

For certain documents, the "Save as Adobe PDF" option within Word 2016 is not usable. The all of the export steps appear to complete, and the resulting PDF file flickers on-screen and then closes. No file is actually saved.

I have confirmed this an issue with the following:

    Microsoft Office 2016 Version 1803 (Build 9126.2275 Click-to-Run)

    Adobe Acrobat 2015 Standard (15.006.304488)

  3. I've used Adobe to create pdfs with multiple files for years. It's one of the programs that has been a staple of my office operations. The new Acrobat DC makes navigating to combine files much more difficult. The menu bars are not the same every time I open the program. The program saves in obscure locations on my PC which I never use. While working on combining files it often closes the active deocument while I am searching for the files I need (which weren't saved in the correct location, etc. You have wasted hours of my time. Adobe has…

  4. Frequently I need to save newstories and youtube video content. When I used Pro IX, I was able to convert the entire news webpage with the embedded video. Now, most of the time when I try to convert a news webpage, what I get looks like a jumbled version of the webpage with partial photos or placeholders for the photos or video. What happened? It seems like the capability went down. I can't seem to get any video content, and I get all the ads instead of the content I wanted.

  5. Can't select files and make combine work, won't clear the print que, won't save files all the time, won't, won't, won't....and won't let me sign in from a different time zone when travelling without changing the time. This is nonsense. Time to look for a version 11 left over....

  6. There is a currently unidentified issue in our organization that is preventing the Adobe Acrobat 2017 PDFMaker Office 2016 add-in from functioning in any office product.
The add-in shows up in the "Inactive add-ins" tab in the office options. When you try to reactivate the add-in, it fails, give the following error: "Load behavior: Not Loaded. A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-in". If you delete, and then attempt to reinstall the add-in, the installation will fail giving this next error:" "C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 2017\PDFMaker\Office\x64\PDFMOfficeAddin.dll" is not a valid Office Add-in." We have done complete Uninstall/Reinstall's of…

  7. When I place a vector file (ai, eps) in InDesign, enter alt text in "object export options", then export to pdf the alt text does not carry over into Acrobat DC. When I place a raster file in Indesign and follow the same steps, it does carry over into the pdf file. I had a software engineer take a look and he said that the information is in the pdf in the back end and should display the same as using the raster file. I'd like to use the vector as it gives a crisper version of the scientific figures.

    Hi

Thanks for sharing the steps. Your problem looks to be an InDesign issue as they are unable to embed the alt text in the PDF.
Would request you to post your issue in InDesign forum.
There is nothing more we can do from Acrobat side.

    Thanks
    Tanvi

  9. I specifically said "do not open document after creation" so, while it doesn't open the specific document, it just opens Acrobat DC with all my most recent documents. Way to shove it down my throat.

  10. Hi there! Can you please fix this issue?Whenever I am saving any Microsoft file (ie Powerpoint, Word) as a PDF in the 10.3.5 recent update it is really messing up my file. The fonts are all messed up, the hyperlink is incorrect, etc. Please fix this ASAP!

  11. I have set bookmarks for custom styles in my Preferences. However, when I create the PDF, not all the text is displayed, particularly the numbering in some of my headings. Some of the numbering is displayed, while others are not. I checked the Word document and the correct styles are applied to all the text.

Unfortunately, we cannot take your bug request at this moment given other high priority issues.
Can you please explain why these numbering were so important (in the event we want to fix this in future) ?

    Thanks

  12. This is a Bug Report
    Hi,
We are having multiple people at our organization having issues with the "Combine PDF" function when using Acrobat DC. When they combine anything (pdfs only, a mix of pdf and docx, pptx, etc) they will get the new document, but certain pages will be blanked out with all the original text deleted. All they get is the background image if there is one, but no text will remain. This seems to be a random occurance as it affects different files and different pages within these files.

As this is random, I cannot provide a…

  13. Hi there

I was used to Adobe Pro 9/10/11 until last week when i was 'upgraded' to Pro DC as we are now using Windows 10. I believe Adobe Pro 11 is end of life too?
I used Adobe Pro 11 to create portfolios which worked very well until i looked at Pro DC.
Now the layout has changed so much that once you the portfolio has been created you cannot see the first page which was very helpful. Now all you see is the adobe logo.
The various views have disappeared, 'grid' being my favourite.
    Also the addition or…

    Hi

We understand your concerns and appreciate your feedback. The lack of views in Acrobat DC is because we have dropped support of Flash due to security vulnerabilities in Flash.
So currently, there is no other Acrobat version that would support those kind of views.

    Thanks
    Tanvi

  15. Why doesn't Word close when merging multiple Word docs to single PDF?
Each convert/combine of a Word doc to PDF opens a new instance of Word, leaves Word open on the screen and then opens another instance of Word for the next document. Inevitably Word crashes! What's the problem Acrobat? What's the fix!?

  16. On the window Combine files into a single pdf, after I chosen a file, if I press the file and holding the ALT button, show me a little icon of plus, as the file will be duplicate inside this window, but doesn't work like that.

  19. Adobe DC Pro stopped converting internal links (links from one worksheet to another within an Excel workbook) either in late December or early January 2018. However, links to external web locations such as http://www.cnn.com in Excel continue to work once the file is converted to Adobe PDF. I recommend you test that issue on your own computer. Open an Excel file with two tabs; Sheet1 and Sheet2. Create a hyperlink from Sheet1 to Sheet2 and a hyperlink from Sheet2 to Sheet1 and then convert the Excel file to Adobe Acrobat using the Acrobat Menu in Excel. You will realize that…

  20. Most of the time, I've had no trouble with conversions of scientific graphics in Microsoft Word to the corresponding PDF images. This time it was really messed up! I've attached the Acrobat DC conversion and a similar conversion with another PDF converter program. The latter was a faithful translation of the Word image.

    Can this be fixed?
