Is it possible to assign Table Summary in Word?
In order to meet contract requirements at work, I need to convert Word documents into section 508-compliant PDFs on a regular basis. In order to pass the accessibility check in Adobe Acrobat, each figure needs to have alt-text assigned and each table needs to have a table summary assigned. I know how to do this in Adobe Acrobat, but I would like to assign these items in Microsoft Word for efficiency. We often have to create multiple PDFs of the same Word document during the revision/editing process, and having these items already assigned in Word would eliminate rework. Also, we…

Combining PDFs from Windows Explorer
In the past, I have been able to select multiple PDF files from a Windows File Explorer, right-click, and "Combine files in Acrobat DC..." However, lately it no longer works. The Acrobat DC program will open to the home tab, but then I have to go back to the explorer and redo the process, then it will work. So, it appears the program needs to be open before the combine PDFs option works. Is there a way to fix this, so it will open the program and go to the combine files tool immediately, other than repeating the process twice?

Request to Add Autoplayable Animated GIFs to PDFs
PDFs are traditionally considered static documents that offer consistency between printed and on-screen outputs. However, this creates an inherent limitation in the utility of portable documents. Consider the old static landing pages of Web 1.0; minimal interactivity and stylization eventually gave way to dynamic webpages in Web 2.0. Much in the same way, “Dynamic PDFs” have the potential to help document creators grow and communicate their thoughts more efficiently. Two specific use cases are outlined below:
a) In Book Publishing
A writer would like to convert their Word document into a digital book with dynamic art; thanks to Adobe, this…

Office Integration Broken after Applying Update
Yesterday I applied updates to both Acrobat Pro DC and Office on macOS 11.6.2, so I'm not sure whether is regression was caused by Office or Acrobat.
Office was updated to version 16.58 (22011201)
Acrobat was updated to version 2021.011.20039Now:
- When I launch PowerPoint, I get an error (see attached image): PowerPoint couldn't load the add-in /Users/admin/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content.localized/Startup.localized/PowerPoint/SaveAsAdobePDF.ppam
Indeed: the SaveAsAdobePDF.ppam file no longer exists.
- Word no longer contains the Acrobat add-in in the ribbon. If I open User Content.localized/Startup.localized/Word/linkCreation.dotm and enable macros when prompted, the Acrobat add-in loads into that document, but that's it. It does not…

Cannot Combine Adobe PDFs through Context Menu
Cannot Combine Adobe PDFs through Context Menu
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and when trying to use the right-click context menu to Combine Adobe PDFs into a single file, Adobe Acrobat DC opens up, but nothing happens for 1-2 minutes. This will happen whether I select one file, multiple files, a small file (100KB<) or a larger file (>2MB). I need to combine PDFs as part of my daily duties, and waiting literally hours every day to combine my PDFs is horribly inefficient.
Versions: Adobe Acrobat DC Version: 21.007.20099, running Windows 10 Pro Enterprise (GC) 1803.

BUG : Acrobat / AcrobatPDF Maker - Word - Gradient (Circular) - Pattern & Representation
When using Microsoft Word & PDFMaker:
Circular gradients do not have the expected gradient pattern. They have a STAR shaped gradient pattern.
This star shaped gradient pattern is more apparent as the shape that has a gradient fill becomes SMALLER.
Also, Acrobat stores these shapes and fills as a Bitmap image representation, so they are not Vector objects as expected, so they do not regenerate with scaleing.
Other PDF software, e.g. FoxIt PDF Editor, does not have this gradient pattern problem. Also it stores the shapes and gradients correctly as a Vector object.[Note: Other unexpected patterns, may occur with…

Create PDF from multiple PDF files
When I create a binder Pdf from different pdf files, I cannot save the binder. It remains just stuck on the save window and nothing happens. How can this be solved? There are sites which only allow uploading of a single file, thus you need to be able to combine more files into one. Thanks for your prompt support.

Text becomes corrupted when combining PDF documents
Text becomes corrupted when combining PDF documents.
I've seen many reports here stating the same problem but have been closed.
My text in my documents became corrupted when I combined a 141pg PDF full of drawings.
I performed the same operation in Nitro 10 - no problems whatsoever!2 votes -
When printing "Multiple", cannot edit margins in Page Setup
Bug: Cannot edit the margins when printing "Multiple" in Acrobat Pro.
- Open a PDF file in Acrobat Pro.
- Select Print>Adobe PDF.
- Select Multiple.
- (Set whatever settings you want, example: Custom 1 by 2.)
- Click Page Setup.
- The Margins are fixed at 1" and they are NOT editable.
Bug: The margins must be editable. There is too much wasted white space.
Refer to the attached screen shot with notations.

PDF Tables are not tagged correctly: #1 Table Editor
1 of several problems in how PDF Maker (and InDesign's export to PDF utility) tag PDFs.
In Table Editor, the editor's cell markers (bright pink lines) do not align with the actual <TD> data cells. This makes it difficult, and sometimes impossible, to correct a cell's tag.
Most commonly seen in complex tables with merged cells in the column and row headers. See screen capture.

Table Editor's cell outlines should match the actual cells.2 votesHi

Embed pdfs as clickable objects within pdf that work when viewed in any pdf reader e.g. browser
Embed pdfs as clickable objects within pdf that work when viewed in any pdf reader e.g. browser. So can add pdf to word and then share and people can click on the embedded pdf to read it. But if I save the Word doc as pdf the embedded objects cease to be clickable. Annoying. And support's option of adding files into the pdf doesn't help as doesn't work with people who use browser as pdf reader.

Preference Settings for Initial View
I just purchased a brand new Dell with "supposedly" current version of Adobe Acrobat.
I learn today that the version installed by Dell does not include the global preference setting to set file name instead of document title.
This is EXTREMELY frustrating lack of a basic setting. Why would anyone think that the user's preferred name for a document is less relevant than where ever it came from.
I can have hundreds of documents that need to be submitted in very short periods of time and now I have to go in and change each and every one to show…

Merge odd- and even-numbered scanned pages into a single document in the correct order
When scanning a double-sided document in a non-duplex scanner, you end up with two separate PDFs - one for the odd-numbered pages and one for the even-numbered pages. Combining them in Acrobat Pro creates a single document with the pages in the order "1-3-5-7-....2-4-6-8-...", meaning that we have to manually move all of the pages into the correct order, which is not feasible for hundred-page long documents. We need a 'combine' function that automatically interleaves the pages so that they end up in the order "1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-..".

Standard Settings for PDF Maker
For preparing manuals with PDF maker of Acrobat Pro, it is urgently required to be able to save more standard settings.
I want new PDFs to be opened as a standard with bookmark window and page, as well of Zoom in full window size.
This option must be saved individually for each PDF right now.

Acrobat saves prior version of file exported from Indesign and ignores subsequent version
This is a horrendous bug that I can recreate umpteen times. If a file is exported from Indesign to Acrobat, and then the Indesign file is edited and re-exported to Acrobat, if you try to save the revised version in Acrobat, Acrobat saves the original version (which I presume it holds in memory) and ignores the revised version. The only fix I have found is to close Indesign and Acrobat and start again - this seems to clear the prior version from Acrobat. This is really dangerous for users and immensely inconvenient. Adobe please fix asap.

embedded
When converting documents that contain embedded documents to PDF, the final product should keep those embedded documents intact instead of converting them to images - forcing you to go back one by one and reembed the document.

Converting files - Acrobat XI Pro vs Acrobat Pro DC
Acrobat Pro DC does not convert files as well as Acrobat XI Pro. I was told by support that developing code to convert every font is not possible; however it was possible for XI Pro. I don't want bells & whistles. I just want software that works. Attached are files converted via XI Pro and via Pro DC. Converting as a print file works but it is very inconvenient. I have lots of Word and Excel examples which I can send to someone. I do not want to attach confidential files in this type of forum.
