  1. This is a bug report.

A user reported Acrobat is crashing when opening a PDF and clicking on a textbox to edit it. It happens 2 out of 3 times on multiple PDF's.

We repaired the installation, reinstalled, removed the AppData\Local\Acrobat folder and also removed the Acrobat reg key but the problem persists.

I took a copy of a document and ran it on the previous version of Acrobat reader (On another PC outside of the users environment) and it didn't crash.

I then updated to the latest version (2023.008.20421 64 bit) and tested again, and the problem happens.

    Therefore…

  2. I installed a couple of fonts from Adobe Fonts site. Namely Blue Goblet and Typeka. I installed on my computer using Adobe Cloud. However, for some reason I can select Blue Goblet as a font for a text form field (under "Appearance") with no errors, and it shows perfectly on any computer and on other pdf readers as well (Chrome, Edge etc) but when I select Typeka font it gives this error:

"The selected font cannot be embedded in the PDF file because of licensing restrictions. If the PDF file is viewed on a system that does not have this…

  3. Please add the feature to Acrobat PRO DC that can add/delete rows to a table—having dynamic form in Acrobat Reader especially when converting from Word format into PDF.

  4. Acrobat take so long to delete form fields when multiple fields are selected. It depends on how many form fields are selected across opened Documents. In other words, if you have an opened document with 2 or 3 form fields selected while you are deleting form fields on a different one (another one), it will take 5 to 10 seconds to delete desired form fields (as invoked and desired by user to delete form fields on a document). On a different scenario if an open Document has 40 Form Fields selected while deleting Form Fields on a different opened document…

  6. Maybe this is recent because I've been making fillable pdfs for years, but I have an issue where I'm adding several fields, like text or checkboxes, I can't modify those new fields because Prepare Form has my cursor stuck making new fields. It seems like I have to exit out of Prepare Form completely and then go back into it just to modify an existing field. The easiest option would be for users to just click again on the selected "Add Form Components" section for that option to be deselected, returning the cursor back to it's initial setting.

  7. For Multi-line fields, text input should not scale till width of field is reached and wraps to next line. Currently when creating a field set to text that Auto sizes, it scales to width of line and then starts getting smaler, then add multi-line to that and it should wrap to next line and only start scaling when the field is full and you can't fit any more text it visibly. However currently when multi-line, Rich text format and Auto size are all set, when end user starts typing in info, the text is really small - but if you…

  8. I highlighted pertinent portions of over 15 legal cases for a research assignment. Adobe went through an update and deleted all of my highlights, costing me over 50 hours of work on a writing assignment that's due in five days. My entire Thanksgiving will now be spent re-researching and re-reading for every waking minute. I've tried every method on google to recover the highlights. Nothing.

  9. In "Add a Text Field", in Properties -> Options, there is an option for "Alignment" - Left, Center, Right.

Please provide an Alignment option in List of choices and Dropdown List also.

  11. In the old version of Adobe Acrobat, when you were in the process of preparing/editing a form, you could "Preview" the form. It was very useful because you could go back and forth between changing the modifiable fields and seeing the document as someone else would see it. This feature is no longer available. Now, you have to exit the form section to preview and then go back into the form section to edit again, which is such a headache.

  12. Is there a way for pdfs that have both portrait and landscape in the pdfs, in prepare a form fields to write in landscape instead of portrait. So for a portrait it writes correctly every time but in landscape it writes in portrait.

  14. For our internal forms we like to have both the manager and staff member sign the document. However, not all staff have an email address and having to email the form for signature each time is too time consuming. It would be nice to be able to add a signature box, that doesn't require digital signatures or email addresses, and the user can just sign with a stylus, then pass to the staff member to counter sign - just like with pen and paper.

  15. When using the Find Text Tool, it doesn't recognize symbols anymore (e.g. : ; #), and for entertainers, actors, editors, etc, reading a script on PDF, this is a huge issue because that symbol is the only differentiating factor in looking through 100s of pages of dialogue (e.g. "Bill was running to the scene" vs "Bill: Hi, everyone!"). Now people have to spend hours going through a script instead of minutes.

  16. New update in October of 2023 is not allowing me to add new check boxes or align them. There is essentially no function available in the prepare form section at all.

  17. Due to the excessive security when attempting to sign to any app or service involving PDF files I no longer use Adobe as my trusted application or service because of the friction and steps it takes to use PDF files - even signing on to this feedback service I had to use a Google login - this has driven me away from all Adobe product and I am a yearly subscriber -

  18. need to be able to use the compare tool to detect field name changes. I've been online with Adobe Support and it is confirmed that field names are totally ignored in the compare tool despite having my having a full feature Adobe Pro. (Graphic elements are text field changes seemed to be currently only identified for me.)
