Clear Form
The option to clear all the fields on a form has been removed. I have a form that I re-use for various jobs, and now I must manually clear all of the fields in the form in order to fill it out afresh. The deletion of this feature irritates me mightily.
17 votesHi,
We would like to know, how were you using “clear all fields” option? Was it a button or a menu item?
Reader cannot “Edit/Modify” PDF and hence “Reset Form” is not available in Reader. As long as you didn’t save the form (as you mentioned), you can use the following command in Acrobat Reader: File > Revert.
“Clear Form/Reset Form” can only be added via Acrobat. You can ask the author of the form to add a button using Form Fields Properties > Actions > Reset Forms.
And, if you are the author, you can clear it from Tools > Prepare Forms > More Options > Clear Form.I hope this resolves your issue. If not, please share details for more information.

Ability to justify text boxes and form fields to each other -aligned top/right/left/bottom
Currently there is no easy way to create a form from scratch with numerous lines and fields. It is easier to create it in Word and then export it, but then there are issues with editing and aligning field boxes to the text. Please make a feature to snap the text boxes to field boxes so they line up perfectly and quickly.

pdf forms exported as flat (non-editable) pdf files
I have designed forms that my staff complete & then we provide to external sources. I need these to export as a flat file & don't see how that could be accomplished other than export to MS Word & then to a pdf... kinda labor intensive!

4 votesJanet,
Select “Multi-line” and “Scroll Long Text” in “Options” tab of the Properties dialog box for your text field. Also, ensure to widen the width (manually) to allow user to view the content as they type
And, I have forwarded your request of “Wrap the Text” to engineering. It will be picked up after prioritization.
We will contact you if we need some more information on this.

In Adobe Acrobat Pro DC - add a "subtraction" option in the drop-down box in the Text Fields Properties Box. This would be VERY helpful!
Not having a subtraction option in the Text Field Properties reduces the value of the calculate function. The current "workaround" of inputting a negative number to allow for addition is a poor alternative.
3 votesHi Gary
You can either use a custom JavaScirpt calculation or the simplified field notation calculation, if your field names follow the required convention, with the “-” operator you will be able to perform subtraction.
However, we value your suggestion/ideas and we will have the engineering notified. Should we need more information inregard to this, we shall connect with you

Add transparency to color choices for check box line and fill
Sometimes I already have an underlying form in use (one that has check boxes) that I want to make fillable. Since the form already has check boxes, when I add a check box using Prepare Form, the borders can look chunky if I don't get the edges perfectly aligned. Making the fill and line transparent will still fill my underlying check box (part of the form design) but won't try to add a new box overlay.

Crashing When Opening Files
PDF's when opened will sometimes crash the whole Adobe Acrobat Pro program. They open afterward, but the event viewer shows a fatal error of some kind. I copied four of these into the attached text document.

Allow "use current properties as default" to include or delete decimal places.
When selecting a form field and want to use it for the default, it doesn't allow for the existing decimal place. So, I have to go back and change every number field to eliminate the two decimal default. Also, why can't we just have the default be without any decimals?
2 votesJohn
After you have created a form field that eliminate the two decimal default, select “Create Multiple Copies” available on “Right Click” to add more form field with the same default formats.
I hope this helps

Problem with IRS fill-in forms
Repeatedly, when trying to fill in US Internal Revenue Service forms in Acrobat DC Standard, I get a "bad file handle" message, and am unable to save the completed form. This did not happen with earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat and does not happen if I open the files in Acrobat Reader DC rather than the full version of Acrobat DC. I am using Windows 10.

Multiline Form Preset Line Height
I would like to have a Text Field Property that would allow presetting of line spacing on multi line text fields. Currently, it appears that it can only be adjusted after there is already text in the field that would be submitted by the form filler.

Required fields on creating from in Acrobat DC
I don't want the required fields outlined with a red border when my client opens the form, only when they have completed it if there are any required fields missing. This would seem logical & I cant understand why this isn't already in place?
2 votesYou will need to implement keystroke script for this. You can use the Properties dialog > format > Custom options to use.

More direct 'Submit' button
I have a pharma client that I've been working on a Sales Aid for. It was created in InDesign Interactive. At the end of this 8 page (or so) document, there's a simple form for people to request a patient starter kit. No signature is required. We would like to have people submit the form directly to my client, but in Acrobat Pro, the form goes to the end user's email address and they need to forward the form on to my client. This is a 2-step process and not ideal at all for user experience. Client wants the form…
