  1. I should be able to create a radio group inside a form without custom scripting. An example would be to select a number of check boxes and group them together and choose to group them as a radio button group.

  2. I have Windows 10 and Adobe Standard v. 2018.011.20038 and when I create a form and click on "Prepare Form" there is a pop up box that says "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working" and then the program shuts down. I have updated the program, clicked on "Repair Installation" and nothing has corrected this issue. Please help!

    Please share the acrobat version you are experiencing this issue with .

    Have you tried it with any other file to confirm that this is not file-specific issue.

    Also, can you “Check for Updates” and re-test the issue with latest version.

  4. Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet

    In previous versions I can see "Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet" option, but in DC Pro in Prepare Form I don't have or can't see that option.

  5. I have a pharma client that I've been working on a Sales Aid for. It was created in InDesign Interactive. At the end of this 8 page (or so) document, there's a simple form for people to request a patient starter kit. No signature is required. We would like to have people submit the form directly to my client, but in Acrobat Pro, the form goes to the end user's email address and they need to forward the form on to my client. This is a 2-step process and not ideal at all for user experience. Client wants the form…

  7. Add a functionality option to form buttons that would allow for posting to social media (Facebook, Twitter etc.). This would allow the user to post an image of the form to social media (without the button showing) This would allow designers to create "form templates" that would allow the users even in Reader to post to social media.

  9. When you have to resize a field such as a check box, it is more efficient to do a copy and paste. However, it is a pain to have to go back and edit each and every field with a unique name. This occurs because your paste autopopulates the name field with the same name. This feature should be able to be turn on or off as needed.

  10. Despite the submitForm page in the JavaScript API not mentioning the possibility of using a UNC, based on the behaviour of Acrobat Distribution Wizard I decided to test using a UNC instead of a URL by including the following line in my script associated to the MouseUp event of my custom submit button:

    this.submitForm({cURL:"//SERVER/SHARE/", cSubmitAs:"PDF"});

    To my satisfaction, everything worked as I suspected.

    The following line also worked:

    this.submitForm({cURL:"smb://SERVER/SHARE/", cSubmitAs:"PDF"});

    So this seems like an undocumented feature btw pretty useful for small businesses which in general outsource their web services but mantain an onsite file server.

  11. I have filled up a form using Foxit Reader. When I tried to open the form with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC I got error "The document enabled extended features in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document".

    I tried some other PDF programs, no issue when opening this form.

  12. I wanted to use Font Awesome icons in Forms, but is not possible. I choose the Font Awesome in text field properties, but doesn't show when I want to copy an icon from the cheatsheet - the same technique works with every other Adobe program. This is a cheatsheet that I use: http://fontawesome.io/cheatsheet/. The font is installed on my computer.

  13. First my suggestion for Acrobat Pro is work more painstakingly or stock up staff! The CC costs a bunch of money and when working with it, it shows that it doesn't function as sufficient as is should. Especially when it comes to creating/editing more advanced interactive PDFs with Acrobat Pro. The possibility to do that basically is a very mighty and good feature but it doesn't runs as stable as it should.

    In my opinion there could/should be a standalone software thats reduced to interactive/form field and layout functions (comparable: InDesign) only. Acrobat Pro is packed full with lots of…

  14. when doing a calculation in a form like
    A1B1=C1
    with given standard values A1=2, B1=3 resulting in a field with calculation result of 6 (from 2x3=6) you get mistakes in a new calculation when you
    - copy the three field
    - rename them to D1, E1 and F1 and
    - change the standard values and the calculation to D1=3, E1=4
    - change the calculation to D1
    E1 with result 12
    the shown form is still A1*B1=C1 values in both lines

    This is a bug that should be solved.

  15. I was adding a created box and other elements to create a form; whenever I copied then wanted to paste in place an object the object jumped to a different area on the papers and not on the same page or area, so I was looking for the button/box...to find them select them with the mouse then move them around until arriving from a different page to the page where I need to place them in/...loss of time

  16. Dear Adobe Support,

    I hope this email finds you well. I'm a freelancer who relies heavily on Adobe Acrobat for fillable PDF forms. However, the image field feature doesn't work properly on the mobile app, causing inconvenience for both me and my clients. While I've suggested alternatives like Foxit PDF Editor, my clients prefer Adobe's familiarity. Could you please prioritize resolving this issue? Your prompt attention would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Muhammad Shahab

  18. Hallo,

  20. Major problem with form links to PDF file since update 13.02.2024

    I have a large PDF file collection with reciprocal links to other PDFs, which has been working without any problems for about 20 years.
    Since the last Reader update of 13/02/2024 (23.008.20533), opening PDF files via a link in the Acrobat form button (Open file) no longer works. The file is only partially opened and the error message "No PDF file" appears and Acrobat closes without any further entries.
    If I select this file directly for opening, it is loaded without any problems.
    Note:
    The linking of PDF files…
