  4. Currently, if I send a fillable form to someone, they can't change the font they enter into the fillable fields. It would be great if they could change the font to suit them rather than have to keep the font that I've assigned. OR if I could assign a font and have it appear on the PDF at their end rather than converting to a default font if they don't have that particular font on their computer.

Please select “Allow Rich Text Formatting” for the text field in the “Options” tab of the Properties dialog box.

Formatting options are available on “Right Click”
And font can be changed using the “text toolbar”, using the shortcut key CTRL+E or CMD+E.

    I hope this help

  6. I have a fillable .pdf and needed help to turn on the field highlights. Searching for 'show fillable fields' was not useful on your tutorials and help pages, the switch is buried in the preferences menu.
    1) Simple, direct answers to simple questions!
    2) This switch should be easier to find, placed somewhere in a View menu. Uh, might I suggest 'View Fillable Fields'?

You can try searching “highlight” as keyword in the RHP and select the option easily without going to Preferences. Please ensure that the PDF is form.

  8. Why can't i talk to an expert about the issues I'm having? All the tutorials are much too basic and scrolling through all the reams of posts is exhausting and never results in an answer. I need advice on how to save a pdf. file with radio buttons and fillable sections so i can send it to a client for completion. Why is there no detailed best practice on how to use pre-flight so that forms work for your clients?

  9. I can't find a way to make a permanent change to appearance of form fields. It will keep having the blue color on top at the end user. In the properties panel it is shown as no fill and stroke. I can see a lot of people asking for this feature - but no solution yet. See https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2467569

  11. Mohave 10.14.3 and Acrobat DC fillable document saving problem-
If I get a fillable form from IRS or other government site that needs to be filled in, I can save it to my computer one time. But if I reopen the document to add other information to a fillable area, I cannot save the document a second time. I get an error message saying the file contains "a number that is out of range". This happens for documents from many different websites, so I think the error comes when the document is saved using Mohave. Once saved the "producer" under…

Thank you for reporting the issue.

Please check that the form is not being opened in Apple Preview, it happens to get corrupted. Try downloading again from IRS website and instead use Adobe Acrobat/Adobe Reader.

    1. Please share the test file with us using https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7161 and
2 the version of Acrobat installed on your machine for us to investigate furthur.

Please go back to Prepare Forms> edit mode and enable “Allow Rich Text Formating” for the text field

Once done, you should be able to get the formatting options under right click context menu.

    I hope this helps.

  16. Add a Delete / Clear "button" .
Sometimes, after the details have been filled out, we want to print it or just save, but we want to leave the form open for the next customer.
Please add a visible "button" option, which will have the option to choose whether to delete the data filled out in the last box or in the entire form, so that the form is ready to be refilled.

If you are the author of the PDF form, you can add the button with “Reset Form” using the folllowing steps

    1. Prepare Form > Add a button.
    2. Open Properties and goto Action tab
    3. Select Action – Reset a form and choose the fields you would want to reset.
    4. Close and save to have the changes applied.

Alternatively, You can also add a reset form button with javascript:
this.resetForm(); However, this will not allow you to choose the fields.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us.
We are not able to reproduce this issue at our end.
Thus please let us know your Acrobat version and OS details.
Also whether you are facing it with every file? If not, please share sample file.

    Thanks,

  19. When I have form fields that I created and that are filled in, I can't change the field size or shape without it distorting the text completely. I have to drag it to distort, hit undo, then do it again. The first size change screws up the text, but the second time does not. It's very aggravating when I need to adjust numerous text box sizes and have to do everything twice to avoid stretching the text.
