  1. I have the preference checked on for "Always show document page size" in the Preferences > Page Display tab in Acrobat Version 2023.006.20320 on MacOS Monterey but I no longer see the page size at the bottom left. Is it displayed somewhere new? Is this a bug?

Thanks and please fix this quickly.

  2. This was an issue in past Adobe Reader programs where you had to go through option menus to permanently hide the side Tool bar (currently the one that pops up on the left), but there were workable solutions to fix this.

With the latest Adobe Reader update 20360 the tool bar has returned. I tried the old way to remove it by selecting in the preferences to "Remember Current State of Tools Pane". Unfortunately this is not working this time.

How can users permanently remove this?

  3. When I have many PDF documents open and in full screen mode, it has become difficult to impossible to access the tabs, due to the hidden menu bar expanding down and getting in the way.

The menu bar starts coming down even before the cursor can reach the intended tab when you want to select or close a tab. It then causes many unintended selections from the menu bar.

  4. In new version of Acrobat, Shortcut Key Assigned for "Windows" as well as "Protect Using Password" is same i.e. Alt+F followed by W. This makes "Windows" access using keyboard difficult as it always triggers first instance i.e. "Protect Using Password". It will be better of shortcut keys are kept same to make navigation smooth for existing users.

  5. In the right side panel, Acrobat shows current and total page numbers. While holding the scroll bar and moving through a document, it is very helpful to see the current page number. This was the behavior in past versions of Acrobat. Currently, the page number field only updates when the scroll bar is released, leading to a guessing game when trying to scrub to a specific page.

  6. Hi there! In Acrobat, the rulers used to change size based on the Custom Resolution setting. I'm not sure when this broke, but it's not working anymore. Now when you change the Custom Resolution setting, the ruler stays the same size and does not measure accurately, compared to the Measure tool which does measure accurately.

For an example, see the screenshot. In Preferences / Page Display / Resolution, the system setting is 111, but if I change it to 130 so that pages display larger at 100% resolution, the size of the ruler does not change. When I use the…

  7. I ABSOLUTELY do not like the new version of Acrobat Pro!!!!!!!!!! It is not user friendly at all!!!!!! Is there anyway to switch back to the old version? I use this program for my business on almost a daily basis. What used to take 5 minutes now takes me an hour just to find what used to be at my finger tips. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!!!!!!!

  8. Remove "Check out new e-sign tools" hint from the bottom of a side bar.
I am already familiar with this "new and revolutionary" feature...
I don't need to find out about it every time I open Acrobat.

  9. The new version of Acrobat moves tools to the left and navigation tools to the right without giving an option for users to customize the location. Having page navigation on the right is unergonomic because the natural reading order is left to right, and people click bookmark titles and page numbers before reading the page content. In books, the table of contents comes before the main content of the book, and you flip rightwards after choosing a chapter to read.

With navigation on the left, the tools would be on the right-hand side in the new version. This makes intuitive…

  10. Description : We would like to restrict the ‘save as pdf’ option for Encrypted/Do not forward emails only.
Why the feature is needed : Currently we are able to use the ‘save as pdf’ option for Encrypted/Do not forward outlook emails - hence able to save and share the such emails to other users (who are not supposed to receive the info). Hence, we would need this restriction to eliminate the security gap.

  12. I am frustrated by the view or placement changes of the menu. It seems the menu items on the top left (save, print, tools, etc.) are now on the right and the items on the right (editing menu) are now on the left side. Automatically I go to the left to get something and find it has been moved and have to look on the right, I am searching back and forth all day, very frustrating. I like the new editing features, but just leave the menus where they were and where we are used to it being. Your new…

  13. Return to the previous version's interface. Reduce the additional steps added in new version and eliminate the over-complification of simple procedures. I just spent an hour trying to number my pages. I found the functions only after looking up on Google and searching for 20 minutes. But the windows themselves were absolutely NOT intuitive. I had to contact an agent. The first agent I got disconnected from. Bates numbering was made to appear as the only option, but the agent showed me how to find the plain numbers under header and footer on the edit toolbar. But via the previous…

  14. When using a shared mobile device, we need to limit the visibility of previously accessed files by other users. This could be accomplished by removing access to the "On this device" option within Acrobat mobile.

Secondly if we could remove the system from requesting permission to the "All file access" so that permission couldn't be granted by the user afterward.

To summarize, here are the following requests for configuration options:

    1. Remove the "allow access to your files to view, modify, and save PDFs" See attached image 1Featurerequest

    2. The ability to hide "On this Device" as a file location selection. See…

  15. Everytime my computer goes to sleep, Acrobat DC "hangs up" and I'm forced to close the application and reopen files.
This seems like a new problem and an unnecessary glitch/inconvenience..

  17. -The new update has the "Fill in Form Field" button in a prominent place on the toolbar and it is the only text looking button in the default toolbar. Everyone in my design office mistakenly thought it was the text box tool and was extremely frustrated trying to redline documents. As designers, we do not use this software primarily for forms or even text documents, but for reviewing and commenting on drawings. Though I customized my toolbar and added what I need, it is not possible to remove the Fill in Form button from the tool bar, or even to…

  18. When opening PDFs from various sources, I often receive a JS pop up stating "This pdf form requires a newer version of Adobe Acrobat...", in spite of having the latest version of Reader (23.008.20555 as of this post) installed. There are often multiple (as on 3-7+) popup dialogs that repeat this message whether OK or Cancel is pushed (the only difference being OK opens a browser window to redownload what I already have).

The PDFs in question are often generated by 3rd parties, E.G. Tax preparation software online. One such recent example used iText 2.0.7, which uses PDF version 1.5…

  19. Zooming in with "ctrl" and "+" keeps cycling from 100% to 95% (ie, when zooming in one increment, Acrobat automatically and immediately zooms back out by the same increment).

  20. 不要每次開啟都預設展開「所有工具」側欄,九成以上情境用不到,非常佔位。建議提供選項讓使用者決定要不要展開。
Don’t expand the “All Tools” sidebar by default every time I open it. It will not be used in more than 90% of situations and takes up a lot of space. I'd recommend you to provide options for users to decide whether to expand or not.
