  1. In Windows 11, the side toolbar placement is right on top of the document being viewed, obscuring the content (screenshot attached). There is no option to drag and drop it somewhere else. This was not an issue in Windows 10.

Moreover, the toolbars allow for customization, but there is no option to set those customizations as the default, so every time the app gets launched for a new sessions, I have to reset my desired customizations again. This wasn't an issue in Windows 10.

  2. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 there is a big blue "Share" button that is appearing at the top of all the PDF documents in my patients' charts in our EMR.

I don't think I need to elaborate about how abhorrent it is to see a big bright "Share" button on top of protected Personal Health Information.

I can customize the toolbar to hide this button in Acrobat itself, but not in the embedded browser of our EMR.

HOW CAN THIS BE TURNED OFF?? I need this fixed immediately.

  3. I just opened Adobe after the latest auto-update was installed bypassing my preferred settings (that I keep changing) of having the auto-update disabled. Before this update I thought Adobe couldn't get any better but I was wrong. Now, not only is the bookmarks tab opened upon opening a document but this new all tools tab opens as well providing the user even less of an area to view the document.

It is possible for Abobe to add another box/screen/feature to open upon opening a document thus blocking the entire document we are trying to view/edit?

    Complements to the genius who…

  6. In Windows 10 you have the possibility to scroll inactive windows (Start > Settings > Devices > Mouse > Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them).

You only have to hover over the inactive window with the mouse and you can scroll. It's the same with zooming. When you press CTRL and scroll, it zooms the window under the cursor of the mouse. It works with all other apps, i.e. MS Office, even other Adobe apps like Illustrator, InDesign, etc. but not with Adobe Acrobat. You have to actually click (activate) the window with PDF for that to work.…

  7. Well, sonny, back in the old days in 2022, Acrobat had this interface where you could insert a page from a scanner in two mouse clicks. That was before the new fangled 2023 version that requires making an all new document and importing it.

It used to be you'd just go to File > Insert Pages > From Scanner and, pow, zap, whoop, there'd be the pages you'd want to add.

Now that they got this new-fangled interface and first you have to find the "File" menu item. That's hidden up under the three bars. Everyone else in the world…

  8. I could vote for several of the bugs, but none that I saw reference the work-around.

The first basic (Control-F) text-search in a given session will fail to find hits. However, the 2nd and subsequent attempts will find hits.

Accordingly, my current workflow is to treat the first text-search attempt as a "throw-away" - I "escape" from that dialog, invoke it again... and then the search works.

It's been this way for years. It's a sad experience for users who try a single search, fail, and don't understand the workaround.

  9. marquee zoom is a critical tool that should be accessible from the quick access tools or pinned somewhere on a tool bar. in the new update on windows 11 this is not possible and marquee zoom can only be activated from the drilling down through the drop down menu each time you need to use it, which is constant for me. in general this release makes it very difficult to set up the interface for efficient use in different work flows. other tools like the print snapshot seem to just be gone. print snapshot is another very useful tool that…

  10. The Acrobat Save As window exists mostly to ask whether to save locally or to a cloud location. Since I don't use cloud storage for active documents, that's a useless window for me. I imagine maybe some others only use cloud storage. So I have a suggestion to save time for many of us.

Please allow the user to set a Preference for a default file storage domain (local or cloud, and (if cloud) which cloud service). Then skip the current Acrobat Save As window and jump directly to the native Save As window for the default domain. That would…

  11. In the thumbnail pane on the right side of the window (circled in yellow in attached screenshot), when I drag a page past the top or bottom of the pane, the pages scroll too quickly for me to easily stop where I want to drop the page. I suggest the scrolling speed start slow, then gradually increase in speed as the user drags past more pages. If the user changes the direction of the drag (up or down), the scrolling speed should again start slow, then increase.

As an improvement on that, allow the user to set a Preference about…

  12. In the new interface, version 2023.003.20244, the pan and pointer tools can not appear on the toolbar at the same time. Please fix this bug.

Also, it would be great if it was possible to pan using a mouse ring click. Would you create a setting to pan using a mouse ring click? Thanks.

  13. Other people set their PDF to resize my window when opening. I need to be able to override such setting in my sessions as I have multiple tabs open in windows distributed on multiple monitors. PLEASE add setting to stop or ask permission to resize my workspace window when opening READ-ONLY and normal PDF files received from other people or sites. In summary, give the user / customer rights to control their own window workspace behavior. Thank you.

  14. SO, I know that Acrobat is built on 25+year old code, but it's time to look at the biggest issue I have - that Acrobat is hopeless for batch operations because they are a clunky hack on top of an application that was never designed to work that way.

Now I'm doing OCR on 36 files. It's running in the background, but I have plenty of CPU time free. Can I get on with editing some other PDF while this is running? NO, because Acrobat is busy. I have to use a different computer. If you have acrobat Pro as…

  16. The Acrobat DC sparingly deselected or unable to do anything when copy and paste something from another window sometimes when deleting a page, sometimes aligning a page, and I cannot tell why this happens. If I need to enter Acrobat, I just click the Acrobat window, then do page alignment the Acrobat window will be deselected . I am persistently facing this issue

  17. Hello,

I am working for a many years with adobe products (most of all with acrobat), and i never understood why these two similar tools (select area and crop, and adjust visible area and trim, bleed and other boundaries) has the same icons? It's so awkward and confusing. It takes too much time to learn which one is which after repetitive clicks, but it shouldn't be like that. Add a small dot on one of them or something like that, that we could see which one is the one.

    Screenshot attached.

    Have a nice day,

  18. Maybe this is just a problem with my computer running Windows 10, but, for some unknown reason, the active Adobe Acrobat window border changes to Windows 7 style on occasion and is usually followed shortly thereafter by the program crashing. Is anyone else experiencing this peculiar behavior?

  19. Adding a slight margin at the top of the Acrobat Reader viewport enhances the usability of the UI by allowing the user to know immediately that they've reached the top of the document.

The attached screenshot shows that MS Word offers a better user experience (UX) by visually indicating that the top of the document has been reached with the use of a simple margin in the viewport.

  20. With the new Acrobat DC I can't resize the window to the size I need. It doesn't let me make the window less than a half in length. There are also restrictions in changing the width of the window.

For me it's important, so I returned to the old Acrobat.
