  1. The message which is shown when users are not signed in to Acrobat or do not have a license of the selected feature they are clicking on, is confusing many users. This leads to many calls at our Service Desk Hotline. It would help a lot to change the text to explain that the user does not have access to this feature because it seems that he/she does not have a license or is not signed in with his license. In case that a license is available please Sign in.

    1. In preferences uncheck Enable Protected Mode at startup. (This is a requirement for one of our business application Acrobat plug-ins)
    2. Minimize a PDF file that has been modified but not yet saved.
    3. Hover your mouse over the taskbar thumbnail of the PDF, but don't restore the window, then click the x from the thumbnail to close the file.

Acrobat freezes as the prompt to save changes pop up windows opens.

Tested on Acrobat Pro 32 bit version 2022.003.20322 and on Acrobat Reader.
Windows 10 21H2 with Feb 2023 Windows updates installed.

  2. When you open multiple PDFs, they're shown as tabs in the same Acrobat window. If you would then switch to tiled view (Shift+Ctrl+l) they become split into separate windows. That's odd.

Bug: Ctrl+Shift+l is supposed to place them side by side, in a row, but they're tiled on the screen, so that 4 PDFs are distributed in 2x2.

Feature request: do not split the tiled view into separate windows. Do the same as in Indesign. 2 up vertical etc., all in one window. Why? If you want to have them back into one window again there is no action for…

  3. Please give me the option to remove the splash screen as before.
in Adobe Acrobat Pro. I work with multiple documents I'd like to concentrate when I work, not get distracted or annoyed at having to close another window after opening up a pdf

  4. In Print Production > Set Page Boxes dialog, the position of the selection boxes for input of margin values are not very intuitive. When setting the bottom margin, I tend to go to the last box, which as it is, is for the right margin. I propose a much more intuitive positioning of the input boxes. The current dialog box and the new, proposed one are in the uploaded images.

Note the intuitive positions of the input boxes, Top, Left, Right, Bottom, which correspond to the actual positions on the page. Small details like this expedite work because they avoid…

  5. The user's choice for "fit to width scrolling", "fit one page", "read mode" should remain consistent for ALL documents and sessions. It's extremely aggravating that i have to choose my preference for every document.

Further, based on internet searches, setting the page display preference to "single page continuous" and "fit width" in preferences does not actually change the default behavior to what i want nor stick across future docs that are opened.

Every f*ing doc i open i have to click on the "fit to width scrolling" to be able to read the doc.

  6. Bug

A weird issue only when you try to combine PDFs from the right-click menu in Windows.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Find 2 or more PDFs in Explorer, highlight them, right-click, Combine Files in Acrobat...
    2. Acrobat launches with a white screen. To fix, simply resize the window in any way and the screen for combining files renders correctly. Click Home and going tack to Tools also fixes it.

Windows 10 22H2 (Also occurs in Windows 11 21H2). Occurs on many workstations in our environment.
    Acrobat Pro 2022.003.20322

I'd expect it to load the combine files interface when Acrobat launches.…

  7. The design of Adobe currently makes you click twice to view a pdf whenever more than one pdf is currently opened in Adobe. This is because Adobe has been designed with windows to recognize each pdf as another window of the program. Windows does this with all programs like chrome, excel, explorer etc. However, adobe is a paper viewer/editor program and all opened pdfs should be coded as tabs under one program because the primary purpose is for viewing. Other programs like excel are for input, explorer for browsing and opening, but adobe is for viewing and the pdfs should…

  8. It should be clear with the countless posts of users wanting the default to be the Hand Tool and others wanting the default to be the Selection Tool.

In both cases, there has been countless work arounds and fixes to make it work one way or another. Since this latest update none of the fixes appear to be working now and it seems everyone is forced into having Selection as the default.

Simple feature request - have a Preference setting to select your default tool - Hand/Pan or Arrow/Select.

  9. Please fix the huge circle issue in highlighting text. I just spent about 5 hours trying to fix it and no luck. I have also ready thousands of users are having the same issue. It worked perfectly until I started paying for pdf now it's not working. Please fix this!

  10. The minimum page thumbnail size needs to be reduced. It's laughably large right now. Basically needs to mimic PowerPoint resize allowance. Want very small thumbnails? Done. Large? Done. Right now you can have only large, very large, super large, and stupid large. How is Adobe so bad at some of the most basic functionality?!

  11. Acrobat DC (2022) needs a "user interface scaling" preference similar to the preference in InDesign 2022. The Acrobat DC menu bar and icons are too large on my 27" retina display. I'd like an easy way to reduce their sizes like I can in InDesign. I'd also like to see the comments list more compact like it used to be in Acrobat X.

  12. Using 64-bit Acrobat since version 22.003.20282, in any PDF document when opening Document Properties, then changing to the Description tab and to Security tab the text is overlapping.

We have found that if you disable Sandbox Protections under Prefereneces - Security (Enhanced) - Uncheck Enable Protected Mode at startup it resolved the issue. We plan on opening a ticket with Adobe.

You can also turn it off via the regitry
    [HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\Privileged]
    "bProtectedMode"=dword:00000000

  13. on the adobe acrobat online documents page, files have their modified dates displayed but only in the American Format (e.g. 2/3/2023). This is confusing for users outside U.S.

can it be updated to at least Follow international standard as the baseline or give options for display type

  14. Acrobat DC 64-bit, version 2022.001.20169.
    Windows 11 Pro, 10.0.22000 Build 22000 (Updated on 2022-07-25)

Bug: The "Make Hand tool select text & images" option doesn't work on Acrobat DC 64-bit. In Hand tool mode, it can't select text and images.

    Steps to reproduce the bug:
    1) Turn on the option "Make Hand tool select text & images".
    2) Change to Hand tool and try to select text in any simple PDF file.

    Expected result: Can select text

Observed result: Can't select text as in Acrobat DC 32-bit.

  15. File Property name "Reading Options" is translated as 「読み上げオプション」 in Japanese, and this is quite misunderstanding as 「読み上げ」 means "verbal reading", while the file properties specify the reading (book-binding) directions and written languages. This shold be fixed as 「読み方オプション」, which denotes neutral "reading options".

  16. Preference → Full Screen → Full Screen Transitions → "Nvaigation Controls Direction" check button is not working on Acrobat Pro (2022), while it works on Acrobat Reader DC. If it is a persistent bug, I hope it would be fixed and make it works as exactly same as Acrobat Reader.

  17. For example, if you add a comment to a PDF and close Acrobat 2020 Pro, the warning about not saving your work will not appear. This warning was normally displayed on the older version of Pro XI, so it appears in the latest version of DC (both Reader and Pro).

    The app version is 2020.005.30381
