  1. preferences window is old and rusty. the fun part is when I select a category from left the window resizes and sometimes I have to move it to see the hidden settings out of the screen portion. it reminds me of the old apps in late 90s! you have to update it to open in a tab like internet browsers and be searchable.

  2. Steps to reproduce the issue:

    1. Open Acrobat DC
    2. Click the Comments pane button

Environment: MacOS 10.14.6; other Adobe apps active are Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Bridge

Expected result: The Comments pane should immediately appear.

Observed result: What I get instead is a spinning beach ball for way too long. THIS IS THE CASE EVEN WHEN THERE ARE NO COMMENTS!

  3. Presets for settings, and a customized page would be very helpful. Let users be able to have their preferences to adobe start up every time they open adobe. I know that it remembers, while the app is on. But every day I have to click combine open files, list view, and printer options.

  4. I understand forty documents may be open at once in Acrobat Pro DC. However, I would like this number increased. I do research and having more documents open at once would be helpful!

  7. Please take out the creative cloud link in the bottom right window. Every time I try to resize a window from the bottom right or roll over to the scroll bar it clicks the link. I do know what my plan is and do not need to link to it every time I use acrobat. Thank you.

  8. I like the quick-access to the Tools in Acrobat, but please allow us to select WHICH 4 tools we see. The defaults are Create PDF, Export PDF, Fill&Sign, and Protect, but in my workflow, I almost never use these tools. I use Edit PDF, Combine Files, Organize Pages, and Prepare Form daily, and would very much like to have these on my front page.
Also, I have the Mobile app already. How do I get rid of the ad asking me to download it?

  9. If I double-click on a comment it rises in the height (because of the post-button). Sometimes it rises also without double clicking, just on one click! If I click on the next comment the comment before shrinks and the current comment rises. So the complete list AND the current comment slips up. So if I have al list of 1000 comments and copy every comment-text to paste it in InDesign, my eyes and my brain gets tired of the constant comment-slipping. It's also hard to orientate if I switch between InDesign and Acrobat. Especially if the comment panels just shows…

  10. There should be a keyboard shortcut for the "Fit one full page to window" button. I use this button every time I open a PDF (usually because the document settings are set to one-page continuous, my application settings are already set to one page).

  11. I am unable to "save as" since the most recent update. I use Windows 10 Pro. My expected result is that I can "save as" rather than the white screen I get when I try to "save as"

  12. Many of us would like Acrobat to work in a certain way that supports the way we work. For example, I want to always open in Read View (globally, not set per each document). Others have similar requests regarding Comments and such.

I'd like to suggest that you implement a fairly comprehensive Preferences facility that enables us to customize this powerful product to the way we work. It does not take long for the frustration to build when the product is klunky. Give us the ability to smooth out some of the rough edges please.

  13. While within Acrobat, can't open files.
Type command-O to navigate to a PDF file.
Box opens to display files, but application crashes the second I start to navigate, for instance, go up a directory. This just started happening.
Using Mac OS 10.12 (Sierra) and Creative Cloud Acrobat DC.

Note: I CAN open PDF files from the finder. Will launch Acrobat if it isn't running already. Just not when I'm in the application.

  14. Please add a setting to preferences to hide page controls by default on each new PDF.

I don't want page controls docked to the top of the screen because I never use them, so when I choose "Hide Page Controls" I would like it if they stayed hidden. Yet, every time I open a new PDF, there they are again. I have to choose "hide page controls" on every new document. They hide content on the PDF by constantly getting in the way. You either have to drag it around or choose the setting I mentioned earlier to see the…

  15. A number of people continue to think it's a "bug" rather than a "feature" that the pan tool selects images & text by default in Acrobat DC. And they ought to be right, this is not a desirable feature for a pan tool, vice a select tool. In fact, it's why you have a select tool in the first place: to select images & text.

Pan tools PAN, as allow you to navigate through the document by clicking & dragging. This feature is literally defeated by having it select images and text when you click & drag. As such, it…

  19. Dear Adobe... for over 20 years I have used Adobe products and with one or two tiny exceptions in the early years, and absolutely loved them all. Photoshop, Design, Creative Suite, Premier Pro you name it I've probably bought it and in many cases bought literally dozens of copies for numerous functions and colleagues too many to mention (see my old Adobe account). One of these which I have used almost daily for years was Adobe Acrobat Pro. I still have 11.0.23 running on an old laptop and it runs like a dream. Full of features and stable as mile…

    Hi,

Sorry for the Issue that you are facing while using Acrobat DC.

Could you please specify what exactly do you feel Buggy with the latest version ?
Also When do you face crashes/Slowness on using Acrobat.

Would help if you could send me the crash report when Acrobat crashes for you.

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  20. Every time I open a PDF the Acrobat window moves and resized. I have "restore last setting" unchecked. Very annoying when I'm editing other files from PDF markup and have to keep moving and resizing the Acrobat window, even if other pdf files are open in tabs and view has been set.
