1. Redact Preferences

   Allow me to set a preference in order to reduce the number of steps required to redact information -
   1) Set preference to redact "text and images" instead of having to click on that choice for every page.
   2) Set preference to save redacted files to a specific folder (or automatically save to last used) instead of having to click to select it over and over and over.
   WAY too many steps to take to redact and save multiple images. And you have to move from one area of the screen to another to another... a lot of wasted time and action.

2. Highlighter tool automated stroke (old) vs. Corrective stroke (new) it should be an option, not an adaptation

   I think the user should have the option to use the highlighter free stroke corrective option (new) or automated stroke option (old). Users who read longer documents with many long highlights will struggle with the corrective method (new). It is helpful within a long document to have the pointer change to word select and highlight multiple sentences by simply dragging down through the rows of text, as opposed to skillfully highlighting each sentence independently. One option is for a stylus, the other is for workstations. Adobe should make that a preference. In the legal field, it can take forever to re-highlight long text trying to make it smooth with the new upgrade. However, I did notice that the algorithm switches according to the document type. I get it... but it would still be nice to have the option in all documents as a preference.

4. unable to resave a PDF file

   Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is dropping Excel formatting (boxes around cells) when converted to PDF document. It also will not allow a PDF document to be changed and resaved as the same file name. You now have to save as a new file name every time, which makes it impossible to work with.

7. Leave panels the way I left them

   I often work with similar types of documents in Acrobat. I need to view comments by color. To do this I need to:

   1. Open the right hand panel.
   2. Click on "Comments"
   3. Click on "Sort By"
   4. Click on "Color"
   5. Click on the Options button ...
   6. Click on "Collapse All."

   I have to do this every single time. Please make it so that tools are left the way to user last used them, as is done in probably all the other Adobe programs.

   This is how Bluebeam Revu functions and it saves so much time. Usually when I need to work with a document that requires that type of workspace, I get to about Step 2, then remember that I save save four clicks but just closing the file and opening it in Revu (which leaves all my panels the way I left them).

8. More comments at a glance

   I compared Acrobat X with the current version of Acrobat: At X you have 20 comments in the window at glance and in the current version it's just 9 comments! If I have a document with 1000 comments I have to scroll much more than in X and makes my work slower than before.

9. Option in Preferences - when a pdf is created with attachments - autodetect & change default opening view property

   Please add a default option in Preferences that auto detects that a created pdf has attachments and sets the opening property to show attachments...

   Same for bookmarks... If the native record has bookmarks for sections, have a property option to auto populate bookmarks in the pdf and set default property to open showing bookmarks

   Instead of a default property to either show attachments or bookmarks upon opening, create an option to show both bookmarks and attachments contemporaneous upon opening, if the native document has attachments and bookmarks.

11. Zoom + and - missing from the toolbar, one more layer of complexity to get to

    On the top toolbar there's a magnifying glass with a + in it, that then opens up another menu for + and -. This is an extra step, bring back the + and the - on the toolbar!

12. Bookmarks are opening to the page after the set destination. Action item set correctly

    I am often having an issue of bookmarks going to the page after the set destination. I have checked the bookmark properties and they are correct.

    The Action is 'execute a menu item' 'Go to a page in this document'.

13. Default hide navigation pane

    If I can't figure out a way to stop getting a massive bookmarks pane EVERY SINGLE TIME I open any file I am going to set my computer on fire.

    The Wizard won't do it. Edit > Preferences > Restore last view setting when reopening documents won't do it. I can't mess with the system registry on a work computer so that won't do it. Do not tell me to tick the restore last view setting box.

    Look at this bookmarks pane. Look at it.

15. Singe page view, horizontal swipe to "flip" pages

    Drawboard PDF's single page view allows one to swipe through pages (like "flipping" pages in a book). I find this helps with retention as it breaks apart the text, delineated by page breaks. I've tried your single page vertical scrolling view, but I found it to be clunky. A few things that would probably make this better (for the horizontal swipe as well):

    1. Don't have the page "glued" to the screen, but put it on a rubber band -- so, as someone "drags" the page, you can see it react/ shift from the center/ default position. If the user just drags, then releases, the page will snap back into place. If the user swipes (ie, gives the page some momentum with a finger flick) with a certain amount of force/velocity, then the page "flips" to the next/previous one.

    2. One feature I like about Xodo PDF (on Android)'s experience with the single page/ horizontal flipping of pages -- if you are zoomed in to the page to read the text (as you frequently are on a smaller phone screen), if you flick forward, it automatically places you at the top of the next page, at the same zoom level, at the same horizontal scrolling position (or, maybe it just centers on the text)? Likewise, if you flick backward, it shows you the previous page, at the very bottom of the page. I like this because you can keep reading without having to adjust your page position any more. This is probably a little less of an issue for the larger screen sizes of desktop/ laptop computers, but would still be nice to have in case one is zoomed in some and wants to keep reading at that zoom level from page to page.

    As for why I'd prefer a horizontal swipe vs a vertical one -- this is more intuitive for me, having been trained on books when I read very long documents. Again, having this be horizontal helps me with retention (I feel)

17. Stop the Acrobat Welcome from Always Opening

    Although no adobe products are set as startup items and the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC general settings have the option to show a start screen as OFF... with each newstart of the computer, the Acrobat Start screen opens.... and every time has to be manually closed.

    This is a bug (although probably intended by Adobe) and needs to be fixed to remove this major annoyance.

    The effect is that Adobe is trying to be an annoying microsoft application by making its own rules to decide what I want... but in reality is frustrating.

18. Page Numbers Does Not Update While Scrolling

19. Change bookmark default color

    Current default color is nearly unreadable. All my PDF's are using this color, so it's the default. Unable to change the color except by opening every PDF with bookmarks & changing using properties bar. Color change should be easier
