  1. Give us more useful Toolbar with plenty of stuff - must make endless useless clicks to access simple things. Just to Open a page needs 2 clicks! This wastes time. Hover over text that fan open files would help.

This is a terrible product to use - thank goodness for the free stuff Foxit and PDF Creator. Not user friendly and pro-production at all.

  2. Option to keep page and bookmark navigation panes open. I use them everyday. Every single time I open/create a new pdf, I have to open panes. Haven't found a way to keep them open if it exists.

  3. We have many attachments to each of our PDF files. It would be really great if the attached files could be organized by folder of category and not alphabetically. Please see attachment for an example.

  4. You need to allow users to hide the tools pane on the right side during load of documents. its annoying and we should have the ability to permanently hide it!!

    1. You should be able to "pin" tool bars of your choosing and have them automatically be in your workspace when you open a pdf.

This use to work and now does not. It is extremely frustrating.

    1. There are way too many clicks involved to open up the navigation pane. I should not have to memorize shortcuts to do such a simple task.

  5. We still desperately need to be able to show the navigation bar by default. I understand that certain features of it may not be available due to settings in the PDF. I use this program to view 99% of the time and it's a real hassle clicking around every time, to show the thumbnails.

Every rudimentary viewer allows thumbnails to be shown by default and I believe previous versions of Acrobat did as well.

Please allow this navigation pane and the selected tab to be sticky.

  6. It seems ironic that Acrobat Pro DC allows for the creation of custom toolbars, which it states can be shared with other users, when in fact there is no means currently available to share any such user enhancement. It also seems unusual that any user created toolbar is not saved to a file which the user can access so as to allow that toolbar to be instantly recreated by him/her on another machine to which s/he has access. Finally, it is also frustrating that any user-created toolbar is placed on the bottom of the list of available toolbars in the…

  7. Acrobat DC makes you hunt through a menu and multiple clicks just to pull up each tool. And this is for each single PDF that is opened into the interface. Honestly this is just so bad. I want Acrobat to look exactly the same each time, with all my commenting and other tools lined up in menus on the right side. Every time, when I open any document, so that I can work.

  8. I am in Acrobat DC
    Architecture: x86_64
    Build: 17.9.20044.222436
    AGM: 4.30.69
    CoolType: 5.14.5
    JP2K: 1.2.2.38123

I am looking at a file from a vendor for approval. My manager sees a 16% cyan in the background of this file on two pages. She is in Acrobat Pro X.
I do not see this 16% cyan. It does not register in the Output Preview panel that there is any cyan on these pages. 0%. We are looking at the exact same PDF file.

  9. I want the comment tools to remain as a toolbar. At present it goes away every time I close a document, and I have to bring it back every time I open a new document.

  10. Provide option to disable the page controls that are at bottom of page on auto-hide. It blocks document content and is distracting.

  11. Brief title for your desired feature: black and white screens in full screen/presentation mode

How would you like the feature to work?
like it works in keynote by using a shortcut like cmd+b and cmd+w and MS powerpoint(Shift+B, Shift+W)

Why is this feature important to you?
Presenting pdfs with the need to black out the presentation on the beamer without having access to the beamers remote.

  12. It's good for those of us who utilize Document Cloud and Creative Cloud to have the startup window with access to these files. However, if you close all of the PDFs you have open, this window is no where to be found unless you quit and restart the application (unless it's hiding somewhere in a menu, but why would that be?).

  13. Delete a layer option is missing in a layers pannel. Would be very usefull feature for preparing PDFs for print with correct layer content. Possible workarounds (delete layer content + merge) are too complicated and not safe for prepress.

  14. Could you please re-add in the option to select which toolbars you wish to see on the menu bar area of the program? I am sick of having to click out of my document, look for the right option, and then search for what I want to do. I used to have my regularly used toolbars selected at the top of the screen, so I didn't have to go searching for them. This creates a lot of wasted clicks, time and effort on the part of the user. This is by far the worst version of Acrobat I've ever used,…

  15. When I open a file and go into fullscreen (e.g. by clicking the green expand button in the corner) the screen changes as expected. Then if I switch screens and return back to my fullscreen view the screen is no longer filled with the application but instead I get the regular size and black bars on top and bottom.

  16. My folder-level javascripts place icons on the toolbar using an iconstream. These exact scripts have worked in every version of Acrobat and Reader I have used for several years on both PC and Mac platforms.

In Acrobat DC, the icons behave erratically, sometimes rendering appropriately and sometimes only showing the red Lego-like shape icons rather than the true icon.

The scripts still function properly when invoked by clicking the Lego-like shape icons, but the lack of the scripts' appropriate icons decreases their effectiveness.

I have removed the folder-level scripts, restarted the system and Acrobat and then re-installed the scripts with…

  17. Through version 9, the properties bar was dock-able. Since X it is not, but it should be. Properties are always useful, it is annoying to have it floating over the document when I have toolbar space at the top of my screen sitting empty and gray and sad. I get that the properties toolbar is context sensitive so it will grow and shrink, but it was in 9 also. Please make all toolbars dockable!

  18. It was very cool in early versions that it was possible to add more toolbars. Its annoying that the space is limited for the extra tools I want to add into the tool bar.
I would like to ask for adding the ability to add a new-line/toolbar so all the tools I add can be visible without need to expand a menu by clicking on the dots at the right side.

  19. Acrobat DC wastes so much screen space in non-customisable areas - It is common to 'snap' the Acrobat Application to Half-Screen - but doing so hides many menu Tools, but ALWAYS leaves 'Home, Tools, Document & then The Login Name. - These are rarely (never) used.
Please allow them to be Hidden, Or return Menu/Tool icons to a 'normal' design/style as used in the previous 10 versions of Acrobat.
'PRO' does not = Tablet user.
