  1. Working on a MAC (mac OS High Sierra v 10.13.2 updated 12.14.17) in Acrobat Pro DC v2018.009.20050
I think this problem started right after OS update.
Open a PDF document, extract a page, and now want to save that page.
A Save As PDF window opens but it is empty and you can't do anything. If you try it too many times it will lock up acrobat and you have to force quit. Does the same thing if you want to do a save as to an existing file and rename etc. Screenshot attached.

  2. A PDF which was created via an InDesign export, cannot be reduced in size in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. It hangs Acrobat during the Reduce in Size option.

I have isolated the cause of the problem to the final letter "x" that was added at the end of the text in the Indesign CC file.. I will try to see if I can attach that file. I have attached a ZIP-compressed Adobe InDesign CC 2018 package. I have also attached the PDF file.

This problem is keeping me from reducing in size a very large file.

  3. When converting colors on a multi-page PDF file, after clicking OK, the progress bar that appears starts with showing "Converting Page 0" when it should be "Converting Page 1". Probably just using the pages array index (being zero based).

  4. In Acrobat Pro DC, I try to reduce the size of a PDF file and Acrobat hangs. I have to Force Quit Acrobat. The PDF was originally an export from InDesign CC.

Thanks lee for reporting. We are also trying to reproduce the issue on our end, meanwhile it would be great if you can attach the indesign CC file.

  6. PDF does not finish converting Spot / RGB colors to CMYK/
This is when using preflight fixes or convert color under Print Production Tools.

  7. I can't open PDFs, I tried everything from disabling javascript, turning protected mode off, to formatting my laptop. It always pops out with a javascript window expired. I've attached a photo below. If I disable javascript I am able to open the file but there is no content, if it is enabled then once I open the file it the pop up appears and when I click ok it closes the file.

    Hi Rai,

I suppose you are facing this with a particular set of PDF’s. Can you please provide one such PDF. Also please provide the version of Acrobat you are using.

    Thanks

  8. AABDC needs 'Smart Lookup' capabilities like what is in MS Word 2016 to be able to look up phrases, not just SINGLE words.

I want to be able to highlight something such as a persons name and then 'right click' on it and have a 'drop down' link to Google search the name or other selected phrases.

I am sorry for the inconvenience you are facing. Can you elaborate on the issues you are facing with Acrobat DC?

  10. Acrobat pro won't open properly on my iMac running Sierra 10.12.6.
I can see it in the menu bar at the top of the screen, but it won't open any further than that.
I have been able to click on file-open and managed to open a file, but none of the tool functions work.

Apologies for the trouble, can you provide the Acrobat version you are using. Also please provide the following logs:

    “~/Library/Logs/Adobe/Acrobat Update Helper DC.log”

    “~/Library/Logs/Adobe/Acrobat Updater DC.log”

    “/Var/log/install.log”

  11. I have been trying to add an index for a 278 page book in PDF. I spent an hour on the phone to tech support in India and no one there seems to know how to do this.

I also need to be able to VIEW it and install it into this PDF to publish it. PLEASE add a tutorial on how this is done, step by step, without CLOUDING the issue with terms like "catalog" and "metatdata" that do NOT contribute to the objective.

  13. Whenever I use acrobat, my mouse seems driven by commads - not mine - to do things in acraobat. Things like scrolling, moving mouse, opening other windows in acrobat. Is it a ghost or is it Adobe?

    Hi,

I am afraid, Acrobat can not be responsible for this abrupt behavior. Please
do a virus scan on your machine. Let us know if that helps.

    Thanks

  14. I need to be able to create a document where the images we include can not be screenshot and the searched for in google image search (thus enabling the person I am sending the PDF to to go to competitor websites who have the same images as us). So either no screenshot allowed or the ability to change the images we have sufficiently that google image will not find it.

  17. I have received a redacted contract on Adobe Acrobat Standard DC that I use on Windows 7. When I hold down ctrl and scroll in (to zoom) the redacted information flashes and I can see what information is blacked out. I think the information should be securely blacked out so there is no possibility of obtaining that information.

  20. Saving a pixel perfect Adobe Illustrator as a pdf doesn't keep the pixel perfect content when previewing in Acrobat. It distorts one line pixels to two pixels in random area. Icon are distorted as well.
