  2. Why is it impossible to install Acrobat Pro (or any other Adobe product) on a Mac using a case-sensitive file system? There is no reason for this, and Adobe software is the only software I have ever seen that has this issue. It does not make any sense.

    Before you suggest it, NO, I will NOT reformat my disk. Telling people that they have to wipe their computer in order for your software to work is not acceptable. We pay a lot of money for your products and should be receiving decent support.

  3. There needs to be UI themes that don't use the same scheme as MS Office.

    It is like giving a room a clean look by having the walls, furniture and art be monochrome and close to the same shade. Any designer is going to tell you contrast is important. If everything blends together, it becomes more difficult to see, strains the eyes and thus more difficult to use and rather visually unappealing. It needs contrast between elements to guide the eye, making things more efficient and visually appealing.

  4. Hi,

    I have an Action Wizard doing the following:
    1. OCR
    2. Optimize
    3. Save the file
    When I run this same Action on two separate Machine against a folder with a lot of PDF files in it, after running for a while, say doing 100 - 300 files, if fails. The DC Student version gives out of memory dialog box error and stops and the Pro DC version gives a dialog box saying "There was an error opening the document...." I will attach the screen shut of the error I get.

  5. The current authentication integration solutions for Adobe do not provide any automation around the Certificate management or the Account creation process. This is horribly limiting when considering the need of an environment to have a seamless system with limited downtime. Further the lack of auto account creation from the SAML service, is highly inefficient. It would be desired to have the capability to create users from the SAML integration and to have the SAML process setup to manage itself using federation XML URLs as an option.

  6. I would like to be able to insert print breaks (force next page to print on top page in duplex).

    Currently, the only way to do this is to add a blank page, however, this looks very odd when viewing the electronic version versus the printed copy. It would be nice if there was a way to force certain pages to be treated as a first page for printing purposes (conceptually similar to how a page break forces the next line of text onto the next page)

  7. It would be really nice to be able to customize the message that automatically populates when sending a document for signature. Instead of it saying "Please review and complete this document," we would like to change it to be the message we paste in every time.

  9. Allow users to set the default printer to an actual physical printer rather than having Adobe continually default to "printing" to pdf. Multiple times a day I have to "re-set" my printer preference from "PDF" to the physical printer. After a few hundred times, I find myself deeply irritated with Adobe engineers and designers.

  10. The current two machine limit is much lower than what is offered by other subscription services. iTunes allows 5 per account, for example. Having one person use 3 machines regularly is not uncommon. I use a work desktop, a home office desktop, and less frequently, a laptop when traveling. It is very inconvenient to have to constantly sign in and out on these machines. I would urge Adobe it increase it's limitation to 3-5 machines per license purchased.

  11. My attempts to use Acrobat were the most frustrating experience of my 31 years on Macs. The program crashed constantly. Simple operations proved to be obtuse and non-intuitive and the layout of the tools, together with the process of interacting with the program, is very badly thought out. The tools page opens a page of cheesy icons resembling something from a children’s book, and why, for example, would anyone hide the ability to insert a rectangle under ‘comments’? Crazy.

  12. Add a Storage Account SharePoint Site
    Site URL is correct, Enter Account Name ignores entry and comes back to same screen
    Adding account fails and there is no help on the Adobe help site

    If this works, it should be available on all Adobe apps

  13. In older versions we could just add text to a document where needed. Now you have to go to Tools, Edit which then takes the time to recognizes all the text in a document. I frequently add text in all kinds of documents including charts and forms. When it goes to "recognize" the text on the full page, it distorts it to something unuseable. I end up having to open the document in Photoshop - if it will read it since usually it was scanned in first. If it won't, I have to do a screen shot, cut and paste…

  15. Currently, the only way to make a PDF presentation loop automatically is to check an option in Acrobat's full screen settings, at program level. This means that when im collaborating, I need to send the file along with instructions on how change their program settings to get the file to work correctly. This setting should be a file level. I can't be the only one that needs this...

  16. Acrobat DC wastes so much screen space in non-customisable areas - It is common to 'snap' the Acrobat Application to Half-Screen - but doing so hides many menu Tools, but ALWAYS leaves 'Home, Tools, Document & then The Login Name. - These are rarely (never) used.
    Please allow them to be Hidden, Or return Menu/Tool icons to a 'normal' design/style as used in the previous 10 versions of Acrobat.
    'PRO' does not = Tablet user.

    Hi,

    We are delighted to share with you that Acrobat and Reader Desktop release for DC Continuous (21.007.20091) is Live now and this Takes care of the Feature Request to Change the Display Size of the Acrobat without changing the Scaling/Resolution of the machine. This can be Done from “View” → “Display Size”. For now this is avaialble for windows only.

  17. When managing plans, it would be most helpful to be able to rename devices. The names assigned by Adobe can be cryptic at best. Furthermore, it appears that imay have created two registered devices for the same device once when I installed one app, and a second when I installed another app.

  18. When exporting a file to excel, the data is not only merging cells, but the data is coming over looking like jibber jabber (sorry, I don't know how else to put it). You can't see most of the data unless you click on a cell.

  19. EXAMPLE: I just scanned 19 pages then clicked on TOOLS to use the stamp command. Aggghh I didnt realize that my original scans are now lost forever presumably becuase I didnt save or 'export' the scane? <weep>. Surely you should alert the user that he's not saved his work?

  20. When you print to pdf or perform some action where it saves the file, it typically goes to the location you last printed to or saved to. In my case, this is typically a location where I was working on my last project and not the most current project file on a network. What would be really sweet would be if when you export, save, or print a file etc. that it would give the option of selecting from presently open windows file folders. Or perhaps if you could create a shortcut to a file location in adobe that you…
