  1. When creating a Binder that includes the same underlying PDF/pages multiple times, it would be great to be able to turn off the feature that puts the same text into the same fields in each PDF. For example, if someone using my Binder has 3 children named John, Jane and Robert, I'd like the ability to say whether when they fill in John on the first page/pdf, it appears in the 2nd and 3rd pages/pdfs or not, without having to create different underlying PDFs with different field names. Thanks for considering this update!

  2. Acrobat DC keeps crashing. I don't know if the crashes are being reported back to Adobe or not. It is Hanging/Crashing on SaveAs and during editing.

I am sorry for the inconvenience you are facing.
Can you share with us the acrobat version and the operating system you are using
Also some sample PDFs with which you are facing this issue.

  3. A free-hand pen tool would be in Adobe's best interest. This tool would allow users to mark a PDF with a digital pen of sorts.

Other document editors that are inferior in many other ways have been winning out with both myself and many other consumers because of the free-hand drawing & annotating capablities.

  4. When processing advanced fields for Fill&Sign in Acrobat the thumbnail for filling signature areas in of a document has started to appear blank with the text "Thumbnail not yet available". This results in not being able to attach the fields required. It used to work seamlessly and now I get this regularly.

  5. I wish to be able to create a link in PDF1 that takes me to a specific page in PDF2 whilst both documents remain open so that I can refer to both documents at the same time. I am a lawyer and for example wish to link a person's statement (in a large PDF) to their exhibit (in a different PDF). I have been in the help chat centre today and cannot believe that this cannot be done. This is first base stuff.

  6. Acrobat DC is far less easy to use than previous versions. Cannot easliy draw, add lines or objects to drawings for as built drawings. Extremely disappointed with the it. More difficult to extract pages, and the operation seems slow compared to previous versions.

  7. I want to search for a particular word throughout the document excluding the header and footer. This feature is helpful when you are trying to get rid of some words in your document and only first instance of the header/footer shows up and is ignored going forward.
For example, I want to replace XYZ in the topic "Installing XYZ". I would like only the first instance of the header/footer to show up in that topic. The next search should not highlight the header/footer instances. This saves a lot of time while searching and replacing!

  9. provide user to display
message in password protected files, with password
hint that can be given by the pdf creator - example to
open password protected file, user provides hint - first
4 charters of your name + year of birth
so the user opening files know what combination has to
be provided to open the file.

    it will save huge
inconvenience as different credit card companies,
bank's use varied combinations. it will save lot of hassle
if these pdf will be provided with user configurable pop
up box to as an option.

  10. Architecture: x86_64
    Build: 19.10.20064.311007
    AGM: 4.30.83
    CoolType: 5.14.5

Incredibly slow and laggy, UI is almost unusable. Using 50% - 100% of a single core just to scroll. Ironically I am trying to read the Adobe PDF Reference, Third Edition.

Really Adobe? I can't even read a 9MB file ABOUT the PDF specification in YOUR OWN software without it slowing to a crawl?

  11. Problem: when I read pdfs with more than one columns, I have to constantly scroll down each column, return to top, and continue scrolling. This is not only a hassle but also seeing other information in other columns usually distract me from the text I am reading.

proposed solution: It would be nice to have an option to scroll columns of text separately. For example the column that my mouse pointer is on it would become clear for reading and I could scroll it down, while the rest of the columns are slightly blurred to avoid distraction. By moving the…

  14. Many of us would like Acrobat to work in a certain way that supports the way we work. For example, I want to always open in Read View (globally, not set per each document). Others have similar requests regarding Comments and such.

I'd like to suggest that you implement a fairly comprehensive Preferences facility that enables us to customize this powerful product to the way we work. It does not take long for the frustration to build when the product is klunky. Give us the ability to smooth out some of the rough edges please.

  15. Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017: I made an accessible PowerPoint presentation with speaker notes. I Saved As PDF and when prompted, I said yes to converting speaker notes to annotations.

My blind 508C Consultant read the PDF with Jaws & NVDA & Adobe's built in screen reader. He was able to successfully navigate the entire document, EXCEPT Comments/Annotations. When the screen reader hit the Annotation Bubble it announced "Text" and nothing else.

I asked him to search for a phrase that existed only in a comment and no where else in the document. He couldn't find it.

    As a government entity…

  16. Ability to change default color on "Edit PDF" would enable BIG productivity win for us. Using EDIT PDF is super easy to make changes on customer record document - but seeing the change in color would provide very clearly where new information was added or changed.

  18. We have to use the function for exporting PDF Formular Data to CSV-File. The function works well if you need it for only a few files but if you use it to export more than 500MB -750MB of files the export produces only an empty csv. That is quite a big problem for our company because we need this to export up to 3GB of PDF Formulars as part of our workflows and it is not very handy to export just parts and put them together in time consuming steps

  20. While within Acrobat, can't open files.
Type command-O to navigate to a PDF file.
Box opens to display files, but application crashes the second I start to navigate, for instance, go up a directory. This just started happening.
Using Mac OS 10.12 (Sierra) and Creative Cloud Acrobat DC.

Note: I CAN open PDF files from the finder. Will launch Acrobat if it isn't running already. Just not when I'm in the application.
