Replace the word emit with omit.
In advanced printer settings, when selecting a color to exclude from printing (tiny printer icons next to cyan, magenta, yellow, and black color blocks), please change the word emit with omit. Very different meanings.

File not viewing correctly in Acrobat XI
When opening certain pdf files, the screen preview is not correct. The background "disappears". Sometimes though, the background will still print but sometimes it does not. I am on Mac in system Sierra and have tried these files on multiple computers including a pc, with extensions off etc. and always that same result. What I see is not what I get. If I place the pdf file in InDesign it will preview correctly and also export correctly so something InDesign does corrects the problem. I am attaching a file to demonstrate the issue.

I'm not sure why you took it out, or why you hid it, but I would really like it back! I use it monthly if not weekly for work and it is WAY easier than the new version. Maybe you thought we didn't use it, but we do :-)

Use printer default setting for double-sided printing
Currently Adobe Acrobat DC does not recognise if the default printer setting on my mac has been set to duplex. There is a work around. By pressing the printer button and selecting 'duplex' from the print dialogue box that is revealed, pdfs can be printed double sided (DC warns against doing this by the way). The trouble is that it is easy to forget to follow this process, particularly when I am in a hurry, with the result that pdfs, in my case often 20 or 30 pages documents, are printed single sided. This wastes paper, is environmentally unfriendly and…

Expandable (and/or pop-out) "FIELDS" Pane When Editing a Form

It would be great to be able to grab and pull the left edge of the FIELDS pane over to the left to widen it. Some of the text field names can be very long and can look identical to others unless you can see the whole title. (I know you can hover over the title to see the full text but that only seems to work intermittently, and is time-consuming).

Clearer communication
Adobe newsletter touting availability of Compare feature doesn't mention this is a Pro-only feature. The link from the article lists step-by-step instructions for using this cool feature never once mentioning that it's only available for Pro version. The screencap shows Pro but it is tiny font and very easy to miss.
This required an investment by me and your customer support to resolve this. Better communication on your end about who has access to your features is a good thing.1 vote -

Selectively Flatten Watermarks
When adding a watermark to a .pdf file in Acrobat 10, such as "For Draft Review", it would be nice to prevent another Acrobat user from removing the watermark while retaining the ability to still have operable links, such as the Table of Contents or figure references.

Show/Hide Toolbars at the top of the screen
Could you please re-add in the option to select which toolbars you wish to see on the menu bar area of the program? I am sick of having to click out of my document, look for the right option, and then search for what I want to do. I used to have my regularly used toolbars selected at the top of the screen, so I didn't have to go searching for them. This creates a lot of wasted clicks, time and effort on the part of the user. Just to expand the thought above. Many people are online searching for ways to do this. I was told in an Adobe chat that it was not possible. You all are brilliant -- can't you make it possible?

I know that we need to keep the straight line on until I am finished with it instead of having to click on it every time I need to use it. I would like my three tier task bar back. Having to constantly click on the additional menu takes valuable time away from my project. Editing may be better but since I use Adobe to facilitate my bidding process, adding steps only hampers progress. Bug - Acrobat Pro X for Windows crashes and stops working every few weeks
Once every few weeks Acrobat Pro X, which I install as part of CS6 for Windows, crashes and stops working. It crashes when I try to open random files. After that it stops working and I need to reinstall it. It happened on two different computers, one running Windows 7 and one Windows 10.

It would be really nice if the "Underline" tool was included in the right-click menu. Right now the Mac version has an option for highlighting and striking through, but not for underlining.
