  2. remove the DC function from acrobat DC so users cannot access cloud files. this is a grave security risk. the feature has to an option at installation time so a user cannot switch it on.

  3. My folder-level javascripts place icons on the toolbar using an iconstream. These exact scripts have worked in every version of Acrobat and Reader I have used for several years on both PC and Mac platforms.

    In Acrobat DC, the icons behave erratically, sometimes rendering appropriately and sometimes only showing the red Lego-like shape icons rather than the true icon.

    The scripts still function properly when invoked by clicking the Lego-like shape icons, but the lack of the scripts' appropriate icons decreases their effectiveness.

  4. Adobe Acrobat Pro for Mac CRASHES and cannot find moved or renamed PDF files, or files with highlighted text (yellow fluorescent marker)
     
    These issues have been around forever. I reported this on 15th September2011:

  5. Steps to reproduce:
    Opened Acrobat DC --- a popup about integration with Microsoft Office appeared.

    Environment: MacOS 10.11.6, Acrobat DC 2017.009.20044

    Expected result:
    I should be given immediate access to the Close button or the Continue button.

    Observed result:
    The popup hijacked the app, with a spinning beachball cursor, for several seconds - at least 10 seconds. This is not the only performance issue I've seen - I've reported others that still aren't fixed. It all ads up.

  6. It would be nice if users can create and manage custom status tags. Often when I'm addressing comments I use the status tags for organizing which comments I've addressed and how I address them. I turn them on and off to keep track of which one's I've addressed. For the most part they are usually accepted or rejected, but sometimes there are some that should be addressed by someone else, some that require further clarification, some that I simply want to put on the back-burner but don't want to see when I filter out comments that have not been addressed,…

  8. Why does it say the update could damage my computer. I am sick of seeing update notifications and then after downloading the update it says this could damage my computer. Get your act together and stop doing this to your customers.

I had been using the trial version for Adobe acrobat pro dc and really liked the feature where when i was using the program on my surface pro it automatically detected that i was using the microsoft pen and i could just write on the pdf's. I purchased the student version of the program and when i went to do the same thing and it did not work. I contacted your customer service and the person said the feature was not available on the version i purchased and that i would have to buy a subscription to get that feature.…

  10. When adding a PDF Portfolio to a file list (Combine Files) I get the following informational dialog box,

    "File [File name] is a PDF Portfolio that contains multiple files. The files with the PDF Portfolio have been added to the file list." It requires that you click OK, before the files will be added and you can continue.

    I wish to disable this dialog box as I am archiving thousands of files a day.

  12. Please make a toolbar or something that allows for a one touch colour change for Highlighting.
    Its is time consuming to have to go into properties and set as default everytime i decide to change highlight colour.
    As a student I need to be able to have a variety of colours available for highlighting in order to have organized notetaking

  13. On the Apple version of adobe: it is very tedious and takes time+ lots of clicking to change the colour of highlights. and its even HARDER to change the fonts, colours of text in the textbox option.

    As a student who primarily notetakes on PDF its really a setbck when taking lecture notes for a high intensity lecture.

  15. I created a form in Acrobat DC Pro, distributed and collected the form successfully. In the collection window, Any field filled up in Arabic shows up properly – see screenshot (Collected-results-with-Arabic.jpg).
    However when I export all results to .csv format so I can compare all results, any Arabic text will display as dots – see screenshot (arabic-in-excel.jpg)

    I performed all above steps on Mac and Windows using Acrobat Pro DC 15.23.20056.213124 with similar results

    Arabic text should be readable in the exported .csv file

    Arabic text is converted to dots upon exporting all data from the form collection window.

Allow senders of Send & Track personal invitations to create a closing signature block or a letterhead that includes the senders contact info (such as sender's name, company name, street address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail address, website address) within the e-mail. It's time-consuming to type the same info every time I send the invitations.

  18. I have to put watermark (my logo" on jpg files in a folder and then save new files to another folder; with an action doing:
    - add watermark (my logo)
    - save in a folder (same name+export as jpeg)
    Compared to the version 7 (I used it until yesterday) it is much slower and works worse because to avoid having to close hundreds of pdf files (which are created do not know why) I had to add the action "do not save": note that one pdf always remains open to close at the end anyway.
    This is on Windows 10

When opening a pdf file on Adobe Acrobat Pro (and some other times, just after launching Adobe Acrobat Pro), the app occasionally stops working and the cursor turns to spinning rainbow for a few minutes. Sometimes (after a long while) the app resumes its functions, other times it does not and I'm forced to force-quit the application and re-launch it.

    1. Launch Adobe Acrobat Pro / Open a pdf file on Acrobat Pro
    2. Mac Pro (Late 2013) (OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6)
    3. Proper Function
    4. Application crashes and / or freezes
