  2. When using the latest version, the vertical scroll bar has been removed. Please add it, or, if it is in the program, have it load as the initial setting instead of having to work through IT department to change default settings.

  4. Scanned PDFs that are made searchable and editable DO HAVE at least two layers, but my Adobe Acrobat Pro DC does not show the layers when I click on the layers icon. I really want to talk to a human being of the Adobe REAL support team and have this issue fixed - I tried the chatting - it is useless!!! Please give me the opportunity to talk to a real ADOBE support person!!! I pay a lot of money every month and this issue is going on since quite a while!!! I have attached an example of a file…

  6. In a PDF file you can find two documents like ID-Cards. While trying to cut them into two files, by clickig on the "creating PDFs out of copy" button, ADOBE doesn't Change the Format automatically, so the file get stretched up.

    Is there a way to fix this?

    We couldn’t reproduce this issue in house, also Acrobat XI is now end of life, there is no active development planned for it. Request you to please upgrade to Acrobat DC.

  9. I have documents from Autdesk Inventor in Windows 10. When I pdf using Acrobat DC Pro trial version, portions that should be uniformly shaded are have horizonal stripes instead.

    1. Open Acrobat Pro DC.
    2. Open file A.pdf (which I believe was created by InDesign from AB.indd)
    3. Open file B.pdf (which I believe was created by InDesign from AB.indd)
    4. Under Tools, select 'Compare Files'.
    5. Click the 'Compare' button.
    6. After it creates the comparison report, close the document tab for [Compare Report] B.pdf, by clicking the 'X' on the tab.
    7. It should ask, "Do you want to save changes to '[Compare Report] B.pdf' before closing?"
    8. Click 'No'.

  11. With small devices being so common (kindle being my handheld of choice for reading) it would be very nice to have some sort of enhanced usability of a PDF for small devices. The typical page by page that looks good on a computer monitor is too small for handhelds, and while there are zoom features, that's not particularly user friendly. Some sort of self-scaling to refit smaller amounts of text per page, and typical page flipping would make PDFs much more useful on these small devices

    Thanks for bringing this issue to our notice. Your valuable feedback helps us improving our product. We discussed about this particular issue and we do not have any plans to work on it in immediate future. However, we’ll have it in our radar and might revisit at an appropriate time in future.

  12. When I use the function named Edit>Preferences>Commeting>Copy selected text into Highlight, Strikethrough and Underline comment pop-up, I can add the text from Highlight to Comment box. But the text is not normal. It has the enter letter, which broke the sentence. It also happen when you copy text and paste to somewhere, it has the enter letter. I try with other softwares, such as Foxit, Microsoft Edge... and they can do this. Please update!

    1. I need to combine multiple large files of different formats- pdfs, landscape + portrait, word files with multiple page breaks/sections; some landscape & portrait. I downloaded the trial wanting to try this out, willing to pay for a high quality product to get this job done right. I was disappointed after mere tests of a couple of small files the combine pdfs command crashes every time without fail.

    3. Easily compiled files into pdf and an option to create a test fortmat (not the bookmarks solution) table of contents easily after combining.

  14. It should be simple to create a method by which two or more consecutive text boxes can be linked in a chain. This would allow a user to continue typing from the end of one line onto the next without having to hit Tab or click into the subsequent box. In other words, continuous entry.

    The closest option to this that exists at present is Multiline, but that is useful only for text areas that completely align from left to right. That, of course, is not always the case with real-world forms, and it seems time for a more advanced…

  15. The default option in Adobe Acrobat is the 'Select Tool'. For production purposes I never use this tool, I would prefer to have the 'Marque Zoom' as default.
    It should be possible to set this in the preferences.

  16. My idea is Adobe shouldn't send me out of the country to be told I get 24 hour tech support, then sell me a product which is not user friendly.

  17. Yesterday in word we selected mailmerge and pdf and email. It emailed to our full list of over 500. Today we are sending to a new list of about 20 and following the same steps and it's now only sending to one person on the list! Please help as we still have a lot of people to send to and don't want to do this individually.

  18. Our corporate forms have a fixed format of a table of information in the header and a different one in the footer. We were trying to migrate to Adobe Acrobat for the forms but that can't be done. Instead we have to stick with Microsoft Word for the forms. The Adobe Acrobat header/footer options are increibly limited.
