After decades, when Acrobat Reader starts, it still has not figured out how to reopen pdf files at the right page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me repeat honestly because I am exasperated by Adobe's incompetence:
After decades, when Acrobat Reader starts, it still has not figured out how to reopen pdf files at the right page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!How do you justify this BIG problem after so many years of having created Adobe Reader?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 votesHi,
Thanks for reaching out to us for your query.
This feature is already available in Acrobat Reader. Here is how you can turn that on.1) Go to Edit → Preferences → “Documents” Tab
2) Select the checkbox for “Restore last view settings when reopening documents”This preference will make sure that your Acrobat reader remembers the last view of the pdf when it was closed and reopened.
Hope it helps ?
Thanks

BUG: http should read HTTPS 2021-07-26
This is not an idea. It is a bug.
BUG: http should read HTTPS 2021-07-26Dear Adobe Acrobat DC Installation Team,
Your product installs with http as the WEB LINK in the Registry. It should be https. The industry has moved on to secure web sites, as have you. However, your installation still references the old http. Please pass this message to your product installation team.
Kindly update your Windows Installation to properly reference https as the WEB LINK

I need the recognition of my work
Dear leader, hello, I reported 17 stack exhaustion vulnerabilities to Adobe's security department through hackerone. This type of vulnerabilities have always been given cve numbers and thank you(e.g. CVE-2020-3753/CVE-2020-3756/CVE-2020-9611/CVE-2020-9702/CVE-2020-9703/CVE-2017-16419), but your security department notified me that these 17 bugs that I reported will not be given cve numbers and acknowledgements, I think it is unfair to me. And these 16 vulnerabilities did have an impact on your products, I also made contributions, I deserve the cve number and acknowledgements. Thanks.

Bug: Acroread Plugin causes Firefox to hang
Bug: Acroread Plugin causes Firefox to hang and later the whole system crashes
..when loading this document:
https://www.unesco.de/fileadmin/medien/Dokumente/Wissenschaft/WWDR_2018_infographic.pdfIn Adobe Acrobat Reader DC the file is displayed correctly. Using the browser plugin the page starts in white, sometimes there's a flickering in white and black extending to the whole screen. Later the system stalls and other applications report memory problems. I was unable to make a screenshot as the system was not navigateable anymore

Bug: automatic hyperlinking of URLs in plain text includes punctuation
Today I learned that when a PDF's text includes URLs that are -not- marked up as hyperlinks, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Apple Preview, and Google Chrome's built-in PDF renderer all attempt to convert the URLs to clickable hyperlinks for the reader's convenience.
However, Adobe Acrobat Reader does a noticeably worse job than the other software. Specifically: if the URL is followed by punctuation, Acrobat includes the punctuation in the target of the hyperlink, resulting in a broken link. Apple Preview and Google Chrome handle punctuation correctly.
You can see this behavior by opening the attached PDF in Acrobat, Preview, Chrome, and…

Adobe Reader causes MS Edge to slow down opening pdfs
I use Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 to view pdfs because it loads pdfs very quickly, and is smooth and responsive; it takes less than 5s to open 300MB+ pdfs.
Installed Adobe Reader recently because I needed the Fill & Sign function. I use Reader to Fill & Sign pdfs while viewing other pdfs with Edge.
After the installation, Edge takes more than 15s to open a pdf, even with small pdfs under 1MB. It has also become laggy. Chrome isn't affected though.
Completely closing Adobe Reader and reopening a pdf with Edge again solves this issue. It's a workaround…

Remember where I left off option
Acrobat Reader DC should have a setting similar to Chrome based browsers to "Remember where I left off". Example - I have have 5 tabs for 5 different PDFs I'm reviewing, it would be extremely helpful to be able to shut down the app and have it reopen all 5 tabs again when reopening the app

AcroPDFImpl64.dll crashes when PDF is accessed via ActiveX/Webbrowser Control x64
Following bug has been introduced with a recent Adobe Reader (or Windows?) update. It affects all our customers.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a 64 Bit C# application (32 Bit Works)
2. In the application, use ActiveX, or WebBrowser control and open/navigate to "C:\documentname.pdf"Expected result: PDF shows up
Actual result: Screen stays gray. In the Windows Error Reporting you will see that AcroPDFImpl64.dll has crashed.
It is very important for us, because our customers rely on this functionality and our software product is currently not useable due to this bug.

BUG: Copy / Paste text in PDF letters with accents paste as a space on Mac Big Sur
The copy paste function doesn't work with words that contain letters with accents on my Mac running Big Sur. Letters with accents paste as a space. It doesn't matter where I paste the text. The result is the same. This is a real problem for people using languages with a lot of accents. I'm able to open the same PDF using Preview and copy/paste the same text and see all the letters.
I opened another PDF that was created years ago with accented letters. The copy/paste worked in my browser and in Preview. I had the same problem when copying/pasting…

Availability of document cloud files offline
When reading a book from the adobe document cloud, it's always a necessity to have an internet connection. But sometimes it could really help if there's an option to make the file available offline, synced to the latest changes. We can always save the file locally, but that would not help to sync the changes like notes/highlights made on the file to other devices.

Search doesn't work in large documents
I'm working on a book and constantly use very large documents (300-600 pages) that I need to search through for specific terms. Trying to search for something as simple as a single word doesn't work 95% of the time. The app either (1) freezes and never returns results or (2) presents hundreds or even thousands of results for the first letter(s) of the term I entered in the search box. Ironically, I've uploaded those same huge PDFs to my iPhone and Adobe Acrobat Reader works perfectly, easily finding those exact same words in those exact same huge documents within second.…
