Remove the extra step of saving
Since using Adobe Reader DC for PC, the last few updates have only increased the number of clicks required to do basic tasks. When saving a document, with either the CTRL + S key press or selecting Save from the file tree, there doesn't seem to be any necessity to have the window attached pop up. It's a similar feature to Office programs now, and really only makes the process take longer. Clicking on Choose a Different Folder just brings up the same save options we had in the past. This just creates more steps and wastes time.

allow users to keep a toolbar displayed
Allow users to keep a toolbar displayed. I have to constantly go to View<Tools<Comment<Open to display the Comments toolbar.
I should have the option of keeping that toolbar open and have it persist even to another session using the software, until I instruct otherwise.

Change behavior of middle mouse wheel button
Currently, click-hold and dragging with the middle mouse button results (hand symbol with four arrows) in the document scrolling at a (rather extreme) rate of speed that is determined how far away your cursor is from where you first clicked the button. The document will scroll continuously until you either move your cursor back closer to its initial location, or release the mouse button.
I would much prefer the behavior to be like what you get when you hold space and then click and drag with the left mouse button. I.e., you "drag" the document around with the mouse, and…6 votes -
Allow the clicking of the mouse wheel to enable scrolling via the mouse.
With all the programs I have tested I can click my mouse wheel and enable scrolling by moving my mouse. With Adobe Reader when I click the mouse wheel a hand icon appears with four arrows. As long as I hold the mouse wheel down I can scroll the document. What I am asking for is that the program have the feature so that I can release the mouse wheel and be able to scroll. With other programs this works until I depress a button, move the mouse wheel, or click the mouse wheel which resets the mouse scroll.

Saving PDF in one click only
I would like to be able to save a PDF in only one click.
Currently, I have to click 3 times. I click on save.
1. The 'Save as' windows open (this window is a fraud btw).
2. Then I have to click on the folder that I want.
3. Then I have to confirm the file name in the right folder.
Other softwares (such as Foxit) allow to simply save in one click my PDF in its original folder. As simple as that.

A dictionary (online/offline) feature
I read a lot of research articles. And, I am pretty sure we all know how academic jargon can be exacerbated sometimes. Having an offline/online dictionary would be a great deal. Imagine if I can just double click/tap on a word and then the definition pops up! It can be a pain to switch from the Reader to a Browser at times for a definition.

Bug: explorer window shadows disappear after opening Acrobat Reader DC
After opening Acrobat Reader DC (in a windowed mode, not in tabbed), it, for some mysterious reason, switches off the Windows 10 Explorer setting for windows to cast shadows. It results in focused folder windows becoming visually borderless, making it very difficult to work with them.
The problem was described here for Acrobat DC:
https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/38822896-bug-shadows-disappear-on-windows-10-explorer-wind
but it fully (and even more irritably) applies to Acrobat Reader DC, too.It seems that for some reason, Acrobat Reader changes (switches off) each time the inherent Windows setting which can be found in System > Visual Effects tab > Show shadows under windows…

Use system default cursors!
It is absolutely unacceptable that the Acrobat Reader changes the system cursor, and doesn't allow for some method of disabling this!
It shows that Adobe have ZERO respect for their customers.I have a vision impairment. I have changed my Windows cursor to a very visible, fat, red cursor, because otherwise I lose track of where it is. But Adobe's opinion on that is "********!!!!" apparently.
Why?
Why do you hate your customers, Adobe?

"Save" behaving like "Save as" - very frustrating!! Too many clicks to save each pdf
The "Save" function for saving a pdf is extremely annoying, it behaves like "Save as". And from googling I see this is "as designed"??? Why would you design the "Save" function to behave like "Save as". It's like 4-5 clicks to save one pdf! I see others complaining about this also. Why would such a big company design it this way one wonders..when every other program uses "Save" as they're supposed to.

Open PDFs in Read mode and full screen Thumbnail navigation
Hi. I would like to see in future versions two new improvments:
1) set the "read mode" as de default viewing when opening every PDF file, instead of having to press "Ctrl+H" each time (just add an option in Preferences);
2) create a new form of navigation throughout the file, a full screen thumbnail view, with page thumbnails side by side similar to what Adobe made with "Adobe Reader Touch" (too bad you discontinued that app) with a button shortcut to access it;Thanks

hide the "all tools" toolbar by default
hide the "all tools" toolbar by default. this toolbar is only needed sometimes. this feature is enabled for the exception instead of the rule. since it takes up one-third of the display window and is on the left, it is distracting. when it was on the right, it wasn't as distracting. when viewing many pdfs over the course of the day, having to give up one third of the screen to a useless toolbar is frustrating.

Environment
Windows10 or 11 (Japanese)The "type" of PDF file in the popup that appears when the cursor is moved over the file in Explorer is missing the "Acroba書類" with a "t". This is very weird and needs to be fixed.
Steps to reproduce the issue
- save the PDF file in Explorer or on the desktop
- Move the mouse pointer over the PDF file icon.
- A pop-up window opens and shows various information, but the "Type" item is "Acroba書類".
Expected result
