  3. Many PDF documents contain internal links. When clicking on these, the user is taken to another part of the document. It would be incredibly useful to me and my colleagues if there was a 'preview link' option. Perhaps this could work by hovering the mouse over the link, and the preview to the link pops up in a small temporary window, allowing you to quickly view the link, without redirecting to a different page.

The motivation for this is as follows: In mathematical sciences, these internal links often refer to equations earlier in the document, which are being combined to…

  5. When the above option is selected the hightlighting of the current bookmark should follow the reading, i.e. the hightlighted bookmark should be synchronous to the currently read text. This was the case in former Readers but does not work any more.

  7. If we don't know meaning of the word while reading in a document then there must be search by web option along with the copy tab or you can simply add Dictionary into Adobe so that it will become more user friendly and more helpful to the person who is in need to search that meaning.

    1. Brief title:
Jump to specific page in pdf document via URL (browser extensions)

    2. Description of desired feature:
When doing research for university, I often open many tabs at once. Sometimes books in pdf document form from my local file system. When closing google chrome and reopening on the other day, the document opens up at the first page. It would be nice if a) the document keeps its position when closing the browser and reopening, or b) via an #[pagenumber] at the end of the URI in the browser I can navigate to specific pages, especially on browser reopening -…

  10. I know that a lot of programs are switching towards a tab-based structure when opening several files at a time. But it sometimes is very handy to be able to open several PDFs in several windows. I know that this is possible by rightclicking the file etc., but I miss a setting that opens PDFs be default in a new window - and not in a new tab.

Can there be some kind of "setting" that says:
O - open PDFs in new tabs
X - open PDFs in new windows

  11. I have to work with PDFs a lot and I have to deal with them via browser. For the past years I haven't had any problems with using the browser PDF-viewer, but as of recently the option to do a quick google search in a new tab when highlighting text within a document and right-clicking on it is no longer available. There is 'copy', 'print', 'rotate', 'save as' but not the 'search the web for [highlighted text]' which was so very helpful and useful for me. Please, consider making it available again since I can hardly imagine how anyone would…

  12. In some documents, there is by coincidence background colors that are very close to the color that Acrobat uses to enhance the visibility of searched-for text.

In Acrobat preferences there is no way of changing this background color. For me, searched-for-and-found would be shaded a bright yellow. The default value is nice on a white background, but no use on documents that happen to have a similar (slate blue) color background.

  15. Because I have to work many times on a multitude of opened pdf files that I need to keep open for days in a row, I think a feature to restore previous session of opened documents (just like Firefox or Google Chrome) would be really helpful!

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us for you conerns.

We already have it implemented in Reader.
Do “File” → “Reopen PDFs from last session.” And that should restore all the pdfs that were present in you last session at the time of Quiting the application.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  17. Stop the bookmarks opening automatically every time a PDF is opened. They have to be manually closed every time to provide more space to view the architectural drawing. Its very irritating and a very bad idea to have them opening every time as the default setting. They should be closed unless needed, not open and need closing every time.

  18. Acrobat Reader before Windows 11 used to be more useable. Over time, it has gotten so that I really don't like the interface - now I can't find how to return the navigation buttons at the top. I looked briefly in every visible setting. Adobe reader 2023 is slick, but I don't like it. And I'm someone who has worked with computers since Windows 98. Bring back navigation basics.

  19. The app should respect the OS setting to always show scroll bars. Instead, the scroll bar disappears after scrolling even though the OS setting is to always show scroll bars.

This is an accessibility problem and makes it impossible to drag the scroll bar with a pen.
