1. Pin the "digitally sign" button or "certificates" toolbar to the tools menu on the right hand side

   Could you please allow users to pin one or both of the above options to the tool menu, or the top ribbon, to allow one-touch use of this feature. It's such a commonly used feature to be buried under 2+ clicks.

2. Keyboard shortcut for fill & sign

   Please add a keyboard shortcut for fill & sign! Adding this speeds up the process for signature on PDF documents for confirming invoices on the logistics/business side of things.

   It doesn't take much effort to add the option for custom keyboard shortcuts too if you can add this to the paid Acrobat version.

3. BUG: EUTL corrupted by default

   If addressbook.acrodata is generated by updating Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL), EUTL will be corrupted. The default behavior of Adobe Reader when opening a signed document for the first time is to prompt for update of AATL. This causes EUTL to stop working and can only be solved by deleting addressbook.acrodata and update EUTL and AATL in the correct order.

   Steps to reproduce the issue:
   1. Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
   2. Open a document signed with an EUTL certificate.
   3. Accept the prompt for Trust Certificates Update.

   Environment:
   Freshly installed clean VM with Windows 10 20H2(19042.985)
   Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2021.001.20155

   Expected result:
   Signature certificate is checked against both AATL and EUTL. Certificate marked as valid.

   Observed result:
   Signature certificate is checked against AATL only. This marks the certificate as invalid.
   This does not change after manually updating EUTL.

   The current workaround I have found is the following:

   1. Close Adobe Reader
   2. Delete addressbook.acrodata from C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\DC\Security
   3. Launch Adobe Reader and go to Edit > Preferences > Trust Manager
   4. Update the EUTL list and wait for the confirmation message. If you do AATL first addressbook.acrodata becomes corrupted and needs to be deleted again.
   5. Update the AATL list.
   6. Open or refresh the signed document. Both the certificate and the signature is now marked as valid and the signature panel shows that the certificate is validated against both AATL and EUTL.

   This can be repeated several times and the result is always the same.
   Updating AATL first = EUTL stops working.
   Updating EUTL first = EUTL works.

4. Unmodified annotations should not be reported as modified

   For the attached file, Adobe Reader claims that the stamp annotation (Object 129) was modified after the second signature. However it wasn't, that object wasn't included in any further incremental save. IMHO this is a bug in Adobe Reader, apparently related to the fact that the stamp annotation does not contain the (optional) /P entry. (Adding the /P entry solves this). This was reported to the PDFBox team and on stackoverflow in question 74836898.

7. Bug in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

   Hi, I have a PDF document that have digital signature. After updated to the latest version, on the signature says this document has been altered or corrupted. But when I see previous version that not certified, this signature is normal. It never happened on the previous version of Adobe.

   The following files in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\" are not digitally signed as such prevent application whitelisting based on digital certificates. Can you please digitally sign the files.

13. Using bookmarks invalidates signatures

    I use Adobe Acrobat DC 64 Bit to sign documents digitally. When I open a previously signed document, and use the document's bookmarks before signing the document myself, all previous signatures are shown to be invalid after signing and saving the PDF. Looks like using bookmarks is handled as document modification, although it is just normal usage.

14. Digital Signatures

    i need to have 2 different type of signature ie one drawn using personal name and one drawn using company name. Presently this is not allowed as one can only have one drawn signature per account.

    there should be a feature to allow for multiple signatures in one account as different document requires different signature.

    Am not sure why we are allowed to create namy digital signatures when one can only have one drawn signature at any one time.

    please add this feature.

16. EXTREMELY ANNOYING

    I am trying to sign in to another adobe account on my desktop. The way the software application has been built MAKES THAT EXTREMELY ANNOYING AND DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE

    Because for whatever reason, who ever developed the sign-in flow DIDN'T REALIZE THAT PERHAPS SOMEONE WOULD WANT TO LOG IN TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT SO LETS GIVE THE USERS THE OPTION TO DO JUST THAT!

    Instead, what the application does, is it forces the user to continually log into the same **** account and no matter how many times you try to get to log in page, it AUTOMATICALLY SIGNS YOU IN

    WHY DOES YOUR SOFTWARE HAVE TO FORCE ME TO GO TO CREATIVE CLOUD?

    WHY DO I HAVE TO TAKE THIS ROUND ABOUT APPROACH TO SIMPLY LOG INTO ANOTHER ACCOUNT?

    DOES IT SOUND LOGICAL? CONSIDERING IF I COULD SIMPLY JUST LOG IN AND OUT FROM ADOBE DC WITHOUT HAVING TO TAKE THIS DRAWN OUT JOURNEY!

17. Make signature "intended usage" more intuitive

    I recently ran into a situation, quite similar to those described here ( https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/digital-signature/td-p/9192902?page=1 ).

    I was trying to sing a document using Acrobat Reader DC 2020.012.20048, but somehow Acrobat was not giving me an option to use the certificate I was going to use. Everything looks fine, no errors, but it still just suggests me to create a new digital ID.

    Similar to this ( https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/digital-signature/m-p/9192908#M28305 ), I see a green checkmark for "sign documents or data" (see 1st attached screenshot),

    but it still doesn't work. This is quite misleading and non user-friendly. Everything should work OK, if there are just green checkmarks.

    After all, I've found that topic (it is frustrating that there's zero progress on this subject since 2017) and created a test self-signed digital ID.

    So, it looks like you expect user to know that there should be "Use for signing" option in the "Usage Options" context menu (see 3rd attached screenshot) vs (see 2nd attached screenshot) because this is the only way to understand that this certificate is treated as not suitable (but how do I know if I just have a non-suitable one?).

    It's a pity that this is so counter-intuitive.

    Also, when I try to use the "Digitally Sign" option the first time, I see the following counter-intuitive "Configure Digital ID for signing" dialog (see 4th screenshot).

    It is counter-intuitive, because I know that the certificate I'd like to use is in my Windows Certificate store (and I've even already enabled the integration with the Windows Certificate Store in "Edit->Preferences->Signatures->Verification->Windows Integration", looked through all other opptions there and found nothing related. So... All 3 options you suggest are not suitable. Now what? There must be also an option to select a certificate from the Windows Certificate Store (that might indicate that the selected certificate could not be actually used later).

     

    So, could you please consider the following suggestions:

    1. Add one additional line "actually suitable to digitally sign" (or something) to the "Trust" tab in the "Certificate Viewer", to show the large red cross there, for situations like described above. Some "read more about this" link there (a link to an article that would educate users about the certificate "Key Usage" and "Extended Key Usage") would be nice too.

    2. Add some tiny "Green Checkmark"/"Red cross" icons to multicolumn listbox in the "Digital ID and Trusted Certificate Settings" window, next to each certificate (green when "Use for Signing" is availible, red otherwise).

    3. Add the "choose a certificate from a Windows certificate store" option to the "Configure a Digital ID for signing" dialog.

    Ability to change the color of your signature in the Windows Digital ID. i.e. Color of Font is set to BLACK - would be nice to change to Blue, Red, etc....

19. Adobe Sign should be included in Reader and free

    I love the idea of a paper free world, and Adobe Sign might help so much to it. It could mean the end of printing documents to just sign and file them. I don’t get how come the Adobe managers have not realized of the great opportunity that lays out in front of them. An opportunity to make this product viral and as popular as the reader. Even more, making Acrobat Pro free, too. Now, it’s the perfect time for it when the world is under a lockdown and strongly needs great tools to produce documents and sign them. Please, make Adobe Sign free and popular like no other tool of its kind. There’re still so many opportunities to make a huge amount of money bulding services around it like charging for extra money for huge storage capacities on the cloud, connectors to Document Management Systems and third-party tools, services like notaries, publication to blockchain based registers etc... Please, make Adobe Sign the free and popular tool should be and in turn make it a great hub for all signed documents in the world (contracts, agreements, etc..) Imagine how many more services could be built around all these signed documents and soon you’ll view a huge business and strong case to make Adobe Sign or even Acrobat free (those could be just the ignitors of a huge leap forward like the Reader was is the past). 20. stop Fill & Sgn notification

    Stop the notification of "Who needs to Fill & Sign"? i beg of you. i do 30-50 invoices a day. by the end i want to pull my hair out with this.
