  2. I recently ran into a situation, quite similar to those described here ( https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/digital-signature/td-p/9192902?page=1 ).

I was trying to sing a document using Acrobat Reader DC 2020.012.20048, but somehow Acrobat was not giving me an option to use the certificate I was going to use. Everything looks fine, no errors, but it still just suggests me to create a new digital ID.

Similar to this ( https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/digital-signature/m-p/9192908#M28305 ), I see a green checkmark for "sign documents or data" (see 1st attached screenshot),

but it still doesn't work. This is quite misleading and non user-friendly. Everything should work OK, if there…

  3. Could you please allow users to pin one or both of the above options to the tool menu, or the top ribbon, to allow one-touch use of this feature. It's such a commonly used feature to be buried under 2+ clicks.

  5. Ability to change the color of your signature in the Windows Digital ID. i.e. Color of Font is set to BLACK - would be nice to change to Blue, Red, etc....

  6. 1) Have a Signature
    2) Click the Sign button
    3) Click the little minus button next to your signature
    4) The signature is immediately and irrevocably deleted.

    This also works for Initials.

Need a confirmation window, or the ability to undo the deletion.

If I didn't have a scanner handy after accidentally doing this, I would be royally screwed right now.

(I have not investigated whether this behavior is configurable, but even having this as a default setting seems like a very bad idea)

  8. When creating a new certificate there is the option to "right align" the entries. In the preview it seemed to invert the position of Name and Date/Time fields (which is what I was looking for, actually), and the strings looked good. After having inserted the signature and reviewing the stored document the actual date and time strings read backwards (c.f. screenshot attached: top row "auto" alignment, bottom row "right" alignment).
While the reverted strings may be a bug, the actual feature request would be to have two options:
    - left / right center alignment of the entries, if you consider…

  9. Regarding the Adobe Sign document prep: it would be good to be able to "Go Back" to previous screens to edit, i.e. the email message

  10. When trying to sign a document (with the latest version of DC) (system report below) it will fail and say "The operation failed because Adobe Acrobat encounter an unknown error." From my testing, this only happened when I tried to add a signature on the same page as another fill box. (like a check box or a box where text can be added.) a signature can be added on pages without these elements.

  12. I love the idea of a paper free world, and Adobe Sign might help so much to it. It could mean the end of printing documents to just sign and file them. I don’t get how come the Adobe managers have not realized of the great opportunity that lays out in front of them. An opportunity to make this product viral and as popular as the reader. Even more, making Acrobat Pro free, too. Now, it’s the perfect time for it when the world is under a lockdown and strongly needs great tools to produce documents and sign them. Please,…

  13. I have encountered a bug in Acrobat Reader DC that is related to encoding of ECDSA digital signatures. The signature is composed of two numbers. It seems that when the highest bit of those numbers is set it is not padded with zero to make sure that the number is treated as positive integer. Instead it is treated as a negative integer. Adobe itself treats those signatures as valid, but other software refuses to accept them. Our nationwide eID uses ECC, so this bug impacts a large number of users. I can provide test file with valid and invalid signatures…

  14. I frequently have to sign timesheets that have been scanned on to email. (i.e Flat form without autofull fields) Adding my signature is easy, but I have to type the date out as text. Having an extra button that allows the date to be added, without having to type it would be fantastic.

  16. Recently we have noticed certificate revocation checking failures with the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC.

In the Department of Defense, the OCSP URLs in the DOD PKI are "http://ocsp.disa.mil". These servers work. But they do not respond on the SSL-enabled port (https). But when we try to verify signatures with Acrobat DC, we get connection failures. Network tracing has revealed that even though the URLs in the certificate specify http, Adobe Reader is trying to connect to the https port, and this gets timeouts.

    Environment: MacOS X
Steps to reproduce: Get a certificate that has an OCSP URL…
