  2. Acrobat Reader DC was updated to ver.20.012.20041 the other day.

Since then, the following error message appears when printing with the command.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working
The program did not work properly due to a problem.

The program will close and Windows will notify you if there is a solution

Printing is done just by issuing a message.

The command I am using is:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" /n /p /h "<PDF file path>"

The execution environment is as follows.
    OS: Windows 7 Professional sp1 64bit

  4. Acrobat reader DC. Windows 7 x64 desktop.
Load a PDF (in my case some A1 building plans) into reader.
    Rotate view 90 degrees.
Now re-size the reader application window by grabbing left or right edge.
You will see the bug - can't really miss it. Document suddenly reverts 90 degress and stretches then rotates back when you let go.
    Not fatal, just unsightly.

  5. Using the latest version of Adobe Reader DC, it seems to be impossible to enter non-English text (in my case, Hebrew) when filling a form. This feature used to work on previous versions of Reader DC (although with RTL issues for hebrew). Copying and pasting does not help either.

Steps to reproduce: Open a form. Start typing in Hebrew.
    Expected result: Hebrew text appears.
Observed result: No text appears, cursor does not advance.

Environment: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2020.012.20048 on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, English and Hebrew keyboards available.

  7. Adobe Reader DC prints only top part of text lines. View shows complete lines. The problem started a few days ago. Clean up of Adobe and re-installation didn't fix the issue. Drivers are up to date. Manipulation with setup (smooth lines etc) didn't help.

  9. In todays world, many browsers now have built-in PDF viewers to help deal with end of browser plugins and the rise of HTML 5 and mobile apps. Can you please consider eliminating browser plugin for Adobe Reader DC and make Adobe Reader a Mac and Windows App store app as quickly as possible to modernize pdf experience and introduce adobe Scan app which uploads scanned document from iPhone directly to mac or windows PC as well.

As many websites are going HTML 5 and browser plugin support is being reduced, we need to see adobe acrobat reader app converted from…

  10. I would like to turn a certain PDF into a .jpg and I do not anticipate a need to do this again in the near future. Seems a little out of touch to expect anyone to pay $15.00 for a month and “potentially” hundreds of dollars to use a service only once or twice in a year.
On your most economical plan, Adobe receives about half of a dollar per day and allows an unlimited number of document conversions , as well as other services.

Adobe should offer an alternative payment schedule of $1.00 per document,
    up to, $3.00 for…

  11. Option to disable "Share" and "Sign in" buttons.

"Share" is an obvious distraction when trying to read PDFs, since it's a bright blue call-to-action.

  13. No reaction when trying to open a .pdf file from a network share available under DFS with a previously running .pdf document locally.
The problem with .pdf files not working properly in correlation with DFS is the Adobe Reader application bug.Bug exist from begin od 2018.Adobe products cannot cope with distributed file systems. The observed bug occurs in WIN SRV 2016 and 2019 systems, and unless it is explicitly stated anywhere that the reason is the change in the SMB authentication method, this is indicated by (logically) the AR logs.this is a link to a thread on this topic https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/can-only-open-1-pdf-at-a-time-from-dfs-server/m-p/10889532?page=3#M62593 The…

  14. Dear sir/madam,

I use a lot of PDF files for my job. However, the version I use is 2015.020.20039. Because in recent releases, the buttons "Fit to window width and enable scrolling", "Fit one full page to window" and "View file in read mode" have been turned into one button. I have to open this button on every time. This is an extremely difficult use. Please give us the option of these buttons as single buttons as before. Thank you so much.

  15. I am using the Adobe Reader Javascript API and trying to access the this.pageWindowRect variable. I've found from various forum posts that this has to be 'enabled' by accessing this.media first.

This works most of the time, but intermittently on certain computers, I find that both this.media and this.pageWindowRect are undefined.

It is difficult to reproduce this exactly: sometimes it seems to work fine, and sometimes they seem to stay undefined. I've tried delaying my code - in case things are taking a while to load - and running the code from a document-level script, a button, and the console.…

  16. Consistent crashes on Adobe Reader DC on Windows 10, with the newest version installed. No crash report ever generated, instant process stop. Can be replicated when attempting to sign in or save as. Open recent document shows saved file and location within adobe, cannot be located when selected to open or found within computer files.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear about the issue you are facing.
    1) Have you applied a latest patch of Win10-2004 after which you are facing this issue ?

    2) Could you confirm me the current version of Acrobat Reader DC that you have ?

    3) Could you please do Help → Repair Installation and see if it fixes the issue ?

    4) Could you please share a Screen Recording video of the issue that you face at ajain@adobe.com ?

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  17. SUGGESTION
With the current version (2020.006.20034), these can be hidden but for the current session only. Put an option in settings to hide these interface elements globally.

    WHY THE FEATURE IS NEEDED
To maximize vertical screen real-estate; as most of the devices these days are shipping with widescreen displays.

  18. Because I have to work many times on a multitude of opened pdf files that I need to keep open for days in a row, I think a feature to restore previous session of opened documents (just like Firefox or Google Chrome) would be really helpful!

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us for you conerns.

We already have it implemented in Reader.
Do “File” → “Reopen PDFs from last session.” And that should restore all the pdfs that were present in you last session at the time of Quiting the application.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  19. The idea is to be able to change the position of the navigation pane from
the left side to the the right side of the screen.

This would be useful when making presentations and using the thumbnail view to advance pages forward instead of scrolling which can sometimes be difficult to control.

  20. Originate loans (OL) is a .Net based Digital loan origination solution suite
The software uses active PDF documents for form generation on loan applications
The editable PDF documents containing mapped PDF fields are uploaded into the software and these documents (forms) are populated with loan application data from the software.
The filled forms are stored in DB in encoded varbinary format.
The application UI presents links to each document on a loan app.
On clicking this link, the document is opened in a PDF viewer. (varbinary stream is decoded and response is flushed by the app to IE PDF viewer)…
