  2. Acrobat Reader DC should have a setting similar to Chrome based browsers to "Remember where I left off". Example - I have have 5 tabs for 5 different PDFs I'm reviewing, it would be extremely helpful to be able to shut down the app and have it reopen all 5 tabs again when reopening the app

  3. In Windows 10, the file type association for .pdf stops working after upgrading from Adobe Reader 2017 (Classic Track) to Reader 2020 (Classic Track). Issue occurs if file association was originally configured by DISM or user for previous Adobe Reader version. The same .pdf file association is expected to work with new Adobe Reader versions.

Double-clicking a PDF file displays Windows prompt "How do you want to open this file?". The HKCR registry key still contains an entry for the ProgID, AcroExch.Document.2017. Should the Reader 2020 installer remove the HKCR\AcroExch.Document.2017 registry key? Deleting the key appears to resolve the issue.

  4. Adobe Reader suffering from delays when printing PDF files, switched reader to Edge or Foxit same files print without any issue. Repair install performed along w/ complete removal + reinstall of Reader but issues continued. End users reported problem did not appear until recently, possibly a bug with the latest build.

  5. In Windows 10, after installing Acrobat Reader 2020 the start menu shortcut for the previous installation of Reader (2017) has not been removed. The Reader 2020 installer is expected to remove the Reader 2017 start menu shortcut. This does occur as expected if the base version of Reader 2017 (17.008.30051) is installed prior to installing Reader 2020.

    Steps to reproduce the issue:
    1. Install Windows 10 Enterprise.
    2. Install Adobe Reader 2017 (Classic Track) using bootstrapper installation (setup.exe). Setup.ini includes PATCH command under [Product] section; PATCH=AcroRdr2017Upd1701130196_MUI.msp.
    3. Install Adobe Reader 2020 (Classic Track) using bootstrapper installation (setup.exe).

  6. I would like to be able to save a PDF in only one click.
Currently, I have to click 3 times. I click on save.
    1. The 'Save as' windows open (this window is a fraud btw).
    2. Then I have to click on the folder that I want.
    3. Then I have to confirm the file name in the right folder.
Other softwares (such as Foxit) allow to simply save in one click my PDF in its original folder. As simple as that.
    Thanks

  7. We do reviews via shared commenting on our SharePoint site. Reviewers using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2021.005.20060 on Windows 10 are experiencing the following error when they click Check for new comments:
First a SharePoint dialog appears that never appeared before. If this dialog is closed the message " Could not get new comments. Login credentials are expired or invalid; please re-enter your sign-in for access." appears.

Expected Results: Any new comments should appear, or a message "no new comments" should display.

This issue is also noted here (seems to impact other Acrobat versions too): https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/could-not-get-new-comments-login-credentials-are-expired-or-invalid-please-re-enter-your-sign-in-f/m-p/12370427

  8. Since a recent Adobe Acrobat DC update, button styles set in InDesign are no longer working. They still work when the pdf is opened in a browser.

Steps to reproduce the issue: Create a radio button or checkbox in InDesign. Customise the style appearance for the on/off settings (colour, shape, text, removing default checks and dots, etc.). Export to Interactive pdf. Open in Acrobat. Button off styles have now reverted to default style settings. When you click on a button, it briefly shows the correct on style, but once you click off it reverts to the default style again.

  10. Using Adobe Acrobat Reader PDF DC (21.001.20138) on Windows 10 to open the attached PDFs crashes. We create PDFs ourselves with several hundreds of images and embedding them using FlatDecode to reduce the size of the PDFs however very few images seem not to work in Adobe Acrobat PDF viewer ONLY. Opening the PDFs in Google Chrome as an example works.

  11. Is there a way to save multiple open documents to as a book mark? I often open multiple documents which are located in various places. It would be great to be able to save a session/project so that I can return to all those documents when I continue working on that project!

  12. Almost all other file cloud sharing and editing programs including OneDrive are able to create a cloud files access folder on the directory of the computer itself. They have had it for a while now and it is time that Adobe include have the same feature for Document Cloud. This can can clearly be achieved and should be included in an update considering the price paid to use this service. Thank you.

  14. This is not an idea. It is a bug.
BUG: http should read HTTPS 2021-07-26

Dear Adobe Acrobat DC Installation Team,
Your product installs with http as the WEB LINK in the Registry. It should be https. The industry has moved on to secure web sites, as have you. However, your installation still references the old http.

Please pass this message to your product installation team.
Kindly update your Windows Installation to properly reference https as the WEB LINK
    Thx, Raphael

  15. Please add a keyboard shortcut for fill & sign! Adding this speeds up the process for signature on PDF documents for confirming invoices on the logistics/business side of things.

It doesn't take much effort to add the option for custom keyboard shortcuts too if you can add this to the paid Acrobat version.

  16. I signed in using the wrong email account. When I tried to sign out so that I could sign in with the correct account, the service would not allow me to sign out until I had agreed to sign up for a seven day trial on the initial account. It seems like a very bad design to not let users sign out until they agree to a trial

want to view under each PDF's taps to view all MIP classification for easy usage.
similarly as Microsoft Office word Document
the MIP classification shows under the Ribbon.

  18. When the DDE command "DocGoToNameDest" is called in Reader DC 2021 x64 (Win10 Pro 21H1 x64) by a x86 program, the Reader crashes. The same call in the x86 and earlier Reader versions works without any problems.
The DDE command "DocOpen" works in the x64 version without any problems, that is, the handle to conversation is correct.
In addition, the x64 Reader is only entered in the registry under "Computer \ HKEYCURRENTUSER \ SOFTWARE \ Adobe \ Adobe Acrobat" and not in "... \ Acrobat Reader" and requires "acroviewA21" instead of "acroviewR21" as the service name.

    Hi,

We are delighted to share with you that Acrobat and Reader Desktop release for DC Continuous (21.007.20091) is Live now and this Takes care of this bug.

Please update your Acrobat (It should Auto update or you should do Help → Check for updates) and let us know your Feedback.

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

    1. Open the attached document, which is a dishwasher manual, in Acrobat reader, and search for the word "floor". It will not be found. However, it's present in the document on page 6 in the bottom of the left column.

    2. In Reader, go to the page 6 and copy to clipboard the line beginning with "When the GREEN LIGHT"'; then open Notepad and paste. You will see the space in the middle of the word "floor".

So it looks like the text has a space in the middle, although the word appears in Reader without the space. This makes more difficult…
