2. Internet PDF Editing

   In the influx of remote learning, students are being sent work in PDFs. Opening them through Google Classroom in an internet browser offers no way to easily edit the content and fill in answers. As this will be a way of learning for the immediate future, something needs to be rolled out to allow this to be done for free for students. Currently I have to download and then open with adobe, but it’s a lot of extra steps when it could be so much simpler.

6. Allow the option to add today's date with Fill & Sign.

   I frequently have to sign timesheets that have been scanned on to email. (i.e Flat form without autofull fields) Adding my signature is easy, but I have to type the date out as text. Having an extra button that allows the date to be added, without having to type it would be fantastic.

7. BUG: copy from Acrobat Reader DC stops at second letter 't' in copied text

   Verion 20.006.20034.39303

   When copying from a PDF document the text gets cut off after the SECOND letter 't' when trying to paste.

   Steps to reproduce:

   1) Open the PDF document attached to this
   2) Go to the first page of PDF
   3) Highlight the sentence "If the input parameter is a timestamp (without time zone) it applies the offset of the time zone you specify and returns a timestamp with the time zone."
   4) Paste into a text editor

   Expected Results

   All the text is copy/pasted

   Observed Results:

   Only the following is pasted:

8. OCSP uses HTTPS even when OCSP URL specifies HTTP

   Recently we have noticed certificate revocation checking failures with the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC.

   In the Department of Defense, the OCSP URLs in the DOD PKI are "http://ocsp.disa.mil". These servers work. But they do not respond on the SSL-enabled port (https). But when we try to verify signatures with Acrobat DC, we get connection failures. Network tracing has revealed that even though the URLs in the certificate specify http, Adobe Reader is trying to connect to the https port, and this gets timeouts.

   Environment: MacOS X
   Steps to reproduce: Get a certificate that has an OCSP URL that contained "http" and not "https". Try to check the revocation status of it and watch the network connection.

12. Move the cookies prompt for Adobe Sign

    Our business started using Adobe Sign this year for sending PDFs to clients for e-signatures and though the instructions are simple, we have encountered a number of clients who don't complete the signing.

    We discovered that it is because the Adobe "cookies" prompt that pops up obscures the final "click to send" portion of the signing process. This is particularly confusing for our elderly clients but clients of all ages have had some difficulty due to the final step being obscured.

15. BUG: Unable to install 'Adobe Reader Extended Asian Language Font Pack' v23.008.20421 (32bit) under very specific conditions

    As user in Administrators group and obviously all appropriate rights today I've discovered a very specific situation in which an Administrator may be unable to install 'Adobe Reader Extended Asian Language Font Pack' v23.008.20421 (32bit) using FontPack2300820421XtdAlfLang_DC.msi.
    Upon execution of that package, if very specific configuration conditions are met, the only error message the user will be able to see is "Adobe Acrobat Reader 23.008.20421 or later must be installed before proceeding with this installation."
    After that message has been displayed (Administrator user can only confirm with [ Ok ] button) a Setup package termination dialog box appear and once again user can only confirm with [ Ok ] button.
    After setup window has closed a new MSIabcde.LOG file gets created into 'C:\Users<userAlias>\AppData\Local\Temp\' folder (pls see enclosed file) and will only contain 1 line with the same error message already displayed to user.

16. Adobe crashes when closing

    When opening pdfs there is no problem, however, when closing there is a high change of this problem appearing. Sometimes, 20% of times it doesn't appear.

    When my customer closes pdf files the program stops responding and shows the pop-up "Adobe Reader has stopped working: Hand on while Windows reports the problem to Microsoft..." and then the pop-up where it says that "Windows will notify you if a solution is available.".

    I tried reinstalling, deleting AppData/Roaming and AppData/Local Adobe specific folders and keys, repairing the installation withing Adobe, reinstalling VC++ Redistributable 2013, sfc /scannow and other fixes without succes.

    This is the only user on the server that this problem appears, the other users have no problem. I cannot recreate the problem on other users and I cannot create another user for this person as there are a lot of files and that would mean stopping the person from working. The problem itself isn't bothering the user, but this has a side effect when trying to work in synergy with other programs and importing pdfs becomes impossible.

    This operates on a server with Thinstuff and RDP and other people don't have problems. Windows 10 version is 22H2 OS build 19045.4291 and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 2024.002.20687, core 24.512.

19. BUG: Acrobat Reader text extraction issue for tagged document

    I observe a strange text extraction behavior in Acrobat Reader for the specific documents. The documents are tagged so generally all paragraph text lines are extracted as a single line. But in some cases the paragpraph text is extracted with line feed. Some experiments shows that it may be related to a presence of a Form XObject inside an artifact content.

20. Remove "Create" button

    The "Create" button only causes me headaches. Every time I roll over it to move or maximize the app, it brings up a new document that I never want. This is very, very frustrating. Please make a way to turn it off or remove it entirely as I cannot come up with a reason to ever use that feature.
