Thanks @Jaagup Susi – that workaround seems to have fixed it for me. I'm still lacking a lot of profiles in the lists but I think those are the ones it failed to copy before. I'm sure they'll all come back once I delete the app settings and start fresh.
Too bad the "solution" here seems to be a the expense of security. PDFs are pretty powerful these days and therefore also pretty powerful attack vectors. I'm not sure what protections I'm giving up by disabling these options…
I just hope Adobe get their sh!t together and make an actual fix at some point. Instead of just continuing to add bling and useless new features, I'd rather they made sure the functionality that's already there worked first… But maybe that's just me.
