  1. BUG: AdobeARM v1.824.460.1067 getting stuck in memory after error "NtReadVirtualMemory unicode_path failed, error: -2147483635"

    BUG: AdobeARM v1.824.460.1067 (from Adobe Acrobat Reader MUI v24.001.20629) getting stuck in memory after error "NtReadVirtualMemory unicodepath failed, error: -2147483635". Can download files (AcroRdrDCUpd2400120643MUIincr.msp and ReaderDCManifest3.msi on 04/01) and (AcroRdrDCUpd2400220687MUI.msp and ReaderDCManifest3.msi yesterday, so on 04/12) but is unable to continue installing updates because mostly looping on error "NtReadVirtualMemory unicodepath failed, error: -2147483635" and also sporadically also meet error "NtReadVirtualMemory readpeb failed, error: -1073741790".

  2. BUG not saving print settings in Adobe Reader for Mac

    OS: MacOS Sonoma 14
    Adobe Reader 2024.001.20643

    Architecture: x86_64
    Processor: Intel
    Build: 24.1.20643.0
    AGM: 7.1.4
    CoolType: 9.1.0
    JP2K: 4.0.2.54248

    Steps to reproduce:
    1 - Open a PDF File
    2 - Command + P
    3 - Next to printer model select > Advanced
    4 - Try to change settings has no effect (for instance uncheck print as image)
    5 - Print

    Printer setting changes has no effect.
    It you try to print again and open advanced properties once more, the new setting was lost.

    There are many people complaing about this issue in community.

  6. Bug Report: Annotation thickness is interpreted in device units rather than user space units

    According to the PDF specification (v1.7), clause 12.5.2, the Border entry in an annotation dictionary (table 164) specifies the border width in user-space units. However, Adobe Acrobat Reader treats these as device-space units (i.e., pixels).

    The attached PDF document defines borders with 1-unit and 5-unit widths; however, in Adobe Acrobat Reader these borders are always 1px or 5px wide, regardless of the zoom level.

  7. Bug Report: Read those bugs out loud.

    While using the read out loud feature, the voice takes a ~1 second pause after reading EVERY SINGLE WORD. Incredibly slow, infuriating and maddening. Without my head exploding, I could only bear to listen to a maximum of three words. Adobe, please squash this bug. I am using Adobe Acrobat on a Windows 10 pc.

    Past the bugs, play, pause and skip back or forward buttons will be a true gem for us, Adobe Acrobat users.

  9. Bug Report: Printing mixed page sizes no longer work in Mac after update

    Cannot print mixed legal and letter sizes using PostScript printer drivers after updating Adobe Reader for Mac to the latest version. No problem with Adobe Reader for Windows (ver. 2024.001.20629 and 2024.001.20643)

    Can print mixed page sizes correctly because
    print data from Adobe Reader contains page size information per page.

    [ver. 2024.001.20631]
    Cannot print mixed page sizes because
    print data from Adobe Reader contains only one page size.

  13. Bug Report: Optional Content Groups affect color of other items

    While testing a PDF document with Optional Content Groups (aka "layers"), I noticed that sometimes changing the visibility of an OCG causes the colours of other items to change.

    The PDF specification explicitly states "Hiding a section of optional content shall not change the colour of objects that do not belong to the same optional content group.", so I believe this is a bug in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

    I am attaching the PDF file and a recording of the issue. Unfortunately the issue does not happen 100% of the time - I am not sure what triggers it, but resizing…

    As of Adobe Reader 24.x, the setting "bAcroSuppressUpsell" no longer suppresses the upsell button. It now suppresses all items in the tools pane.

  17. Page up/down 1.0 pages

    You need a command/keystroke to move to the same page position but 1.0 pages up/down. So if I'm zoomed in to a region on page 33, let me see the same region of page 34. Not one screen down, not to the top of the next page, not anything else. Don't move me; just change the page. (I believe this is the same in Acrobat and Acrobat Reader.)

  18. Remove all the garbage features.

    Remove all the junk features. Developers and product designers think they are doing good by constantly adding more junk. This is just a PDF reader. Once you make it so, then it's good enough, and you never need anything more. Now it's just bloatware, and doesn't even work. When I go to search for something, the box just sits for 5 minutes. Launch Reader, I get a bunch of garbage panes. Adobe - go look at Mac Preview for how a 'reader' should be.

    the download page states:
    Double-click the installer file "reader[***]_install.dmg" to complete the installation.

    the download file is called:
    AcroRdrDC2400120615MUI.dmg

    The UI should be updated to match
