    I'm new to this forum but wanted to share my thoughts on this issue. If a user is going to be forced to sign in, it should be done before allowing them to use the tools. This would help prevent situations like the one you described where the document scan is lost. Check out alternatives, like https://smartengines.com/, as it doesn't have the same issue. In the meantime, save the scanned document to a local file before signing in to Acrobat Pro.
