  1. PDF forms developpers needs to test their forms (created with Acrobat Pro) with Acrobat Reader, so we need to have Acrobat Pro AND Acrobat Reader on the same computer.

    Preventing us from doing so is a nonsense that forces us to use competing software (Foxit or PDF Studio).

  2. My business requires signature of multiple documents in various places and I'm required to sign hundreds of these documents near deadlines that occur throughout the year. Having the ability to open multiple documents at once to then quickly click to certify AND sign ALL signature fields placed in ALL open documents with only a few clicks would eliminate a lot of time I currently spend having to click through each signature field of each document.

    While a batch signature functionality exists, the true efficiency of batch signing does not exist in the current Adobe functionality. Having to manually click through…

  3. Several major bugs have been documented by users in the Adobe Community Forums since Acrobat and PDF Maker were updated on September 14, 2021.

    They are:

    1: Alt-Text from MS Word is not converting into the PDF. Instead, it is dropped and gibberish code is inserted. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/alt-text-converting-wrong-from-word-to-pdf/m-p/12393017 This violates the PDF/UA-1 standard which requires that every graphic have alt-text that verbally describes the graphic.

    THIS IS A HUGE BUG. You essentially have made Acrobat unusable for those who are required by their country's laws to make fully accessible PDFs.

    Hi,

    Thank you for raising these accessibility issues. The post mentions about the following six bugs being introduced with the update that went live on September 14, 2021

    1: Alt-Text from MS Word is not converting into the PDF. Instead, it is dropped and gibberish code is inserted
    2: Every cell border on every table cell is being tagged as <P>PathPathPathPath
    3: The underline on Hyperlinks should be tagged as artifacts
    4: Borders and background shadings on Text Boxes are being tagged as a combination of <Figure>s and PathPathPath
    5: Paragraph borders and shadings: same deal as #4 above.Per the PDF/UA-1 standard, they are visually decorative and should be artifacted
    6: Dragging and dropping elements in both the Tag and Order panels is now broken.

    Would like to mention that out of these, #1 and #6 were introduced with the Sep 14 update and remaining (#2, #3, #4 & #5)…

  4. After install of Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 Release (Classic) Version 2020.005.30362 on a brand new Macbook Pro (14 in., 2021) with Apple M1 Max running Monterey version 12.4 already with Microsoft Office successfully installed and working fine, opening Powerpoint or Word for Mac version 16.63.1 (22071401) in Office Home & Business gives multiple, successive Adobe-related Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime Error '53'. Multiple calls with tech support do not resolve the problem. Following advice at https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/run-time-error-53-and-acrobat-freezing-up-not-responding-quot/m-p/11823639 resolves the MS Word errors, but does not resolve the MS Powerpoint errors.

  5. Too much time is wasted by doing the simple little things and I want to address the little things that make PDF editing a big time consumer.

    1) When copy and pasting anything from images, Text and especially New Text Fields they should paste right on top of their duplicate by default location.

    A) It's easier to locate them
    B) Way too time consuming moving it back to the default location so then you can continue on and just keyboard arrow key them over and into place where you want

  6. Endless nonsense issues about some "cash app", registering Google Drive, Verizon password… Even tried flagging them but they're still there over 24 hours later; clearly no-one even at Adobe gives a rat's a-hole about this place.

  7. Sometimes PDF files contain fonts that is not currently installed, so I have to use another font which doesn't look nice. It is a good idea that Adobe Acrobat can extract those fonts for editing or adding new text in the same font, which is inclued in the PDF.

  8. Need a keyboard shortcut to insert Clipboard contents into PDF as new page. Should default to adding after current page. Should work regardless of whether pages tab is open. This feature would help make Acrobat the top tool for documenting web pages as web print output is often awkward and we need to combine multiple images / pages into one PDF document.

  9. Adobe used to close after quick print. In the latest version there is a bug that keeps Acrobat open. This is nuisance when printing lots of documents.

  11. As Adobe released unified installer concept with Adobe 64-bit where we can install acrobat in reduced mode (Reader only).

    however when the app deployed in reduced mode (without license), application title still shows as Adobe Acrobat STD / PRO which might confuse users. They might think its actually STD / PRO installed on the machine and try to convert documents.

    We actually looking to have the application title as "Adobe Acrobat" if deployed in reduced mode and change the title to STD / PRO based on activation.

  12. I would like to cancel my Adobe Acrobat Pro Trial. I tried to cancel that, but the website didn't enable me to go to the cancel page. It continues asking for my credit card details and continues making requests for payments on my credit card.

  13. Form endlessly blinks, the text does not show properly as you are typing, very slow if you try to suffer through and use it anyway (color wheel appears after a few clicks). This is only an issue on my new MacBook Pro (M1 with Big Sur). My 2015 iMac with Catalina does not have the same issue.

  14. Hi all,

    can any of you tell me how to set Photoshop as the default for opening images from Acrobat Pro DC (macOS Monterey)?

    Whenever I click on an image under "Edit PDF" with the "Edit" tool, the preview is displayed in the "Edit with" submenu. When I say "open with" I can select Photoshop. However, I would like to use Photoshop as the default here so that I don't always have to select the programme under "Open with".

    I had actually remembered that I could set this in the settings under the item "Touch up". Unfortunately, this menu item…

  17. Request:
    A Microsoft Word document can be either a .docx or .dotx, the difference is that when saving the .docx, the file is overwritten; when saving the .dotx, a new file is created. I propose a similar feature for PDFs.

    Use Case:
    I've created a fillable PDF and saved it as a PDF to a network share and SharePoint. People have the tendency to open it, fill it out (as they should) and then click save (or Ctrl-S, muscle memory). That commits those filled form fields to the file system such that the next person who opens…

  18. The frame that pops up when editing forms (at the right) is a fixed width. Which means, if you have long field names, you have to scroll horizontally back and forth to review and edit.

    Would be great if this frame was made adjustable!

  19. The Reading Order tool ought to be able consult the Tags for how to prioritize content. It seems like a no-brainer that a tag identified as an H1 should be at the top of the page. But the Reading Order loves to put H1 content at the bottom of the page. These all have to be repositioned manually, page by page. Waste of time that seems like an easy software fix.

    I tried to attached one example page, but this page did not accept my file.
