Hi Mohd, Thank you for responding. The tools are indeed there. However, the default appearance of the updated version of Acrobat for Windows (I just realize that the new appearance is not showing up on my MacBook, which is great) does not show them on the comments toolbar. Rather, one must manually add them to the comments toolbar. This is a bit frustrating for editors who must often explain to authors how to use the comments function for proofreading, because it adds an extra step, whereas good UI/UX should be simplifying by eliminating steps. Additionally, when I use the tools "replace selected text with comment" or "insert text as comment", the act of selecting text does not automatically open the comments box on the right-hand side of the screen. Rather, I must first make sure the comments box is open and *then* use the tool. Again, this is frustrating. In the previous version, using these tools always automatically opened the comments box, which makes sense, because if one is crossing out text to suggest a replacement, one will always be entering something in the comments box. Yes, I can figure it out, but again, it's adding extra steps where good UI/UX (like the previous version) simplified by eliminating steps. And again, this is frustrating for editors who often have to serve as tech support for authors proofreading who might not be very familiar with the program. Finally, in the previous version, the comments toolbar icons at the top of the screen were significantly larger than the icons that appear on the left-hand side of the screen in the new version. This is an accessibility issue, as the icons in the new version are more difficult to see and decipher. Thank you for your time.
