I'm a book editor and had to disable the new Acrobat experience. It's simply not practical for reasons stated. I'm glad it works better with my Surface Pen, but the old commenting tools allow me to select text and just type on the keyboard while the program generates the appropriate annotating tool. I remember when this feature was first introduced and can't believe it isn't included in the new experience. Acrobat is a publishing industry standard for proofreading, but if the easy annotations go away, say goodbye to business from book publishers.
