I came here and created an account just for this - I updated today and the option to use the old version has been removed - I have 20 licences in my environment and have 19 tickets about it. I see why people are purchasing alternatives to Adobe Acrobat in my peer group. A lot of us are not designers and use PDF for office purposes along with fill and sign - why have you added clicks to do the same tasks?
As far as I can tell it's because someone decided it was a bright idea to change the interface for no apparent reason.
I am not a designer so to me function is so much more important that a pretty UI, which in my opinion isn't even an aesthetic improvement.
To give you an idea - I approve some PDF invoices, this involves adding my signature to them and adding a line of text. Old version of acrobat that was literally two clicks, now it takes so much longer as the program half the time don't want to insert my signature not change to the text box tool after doing that.
My licences are up for renewal in 3 months, I am a very small customer I know but see if you can retain me...
EDIT.. I found out how to switch back to the old interface, it's just well hidden, perhaps don't have the software default to the "New Acrobat" after patching too - I don't want my support team wasting time on easily avoided issue if the software vendor was a little more consistent.
Please do not enforce this "New Acrobat" mess. Especially given last years massive price hike!
Nitro and Foxit are both looking more attractive than Adobe at this stage.
