    In the pro version, goto Preferences, select General, then scroll down the page and uncheck "Open documents as new tabs in the same window (requires relaunch)". In the x64 version of Adobe, it would not let me do this. Another work around was to uninstall the x64 version and install the 32-bit version, then uncheck the option mentioned above. This is a total headache and this went on months and months until someone from adobe contacted me.

    Why did Adobe mess with this option??? We need it.
