Note: Would like a keyboard shortcut that inserts a page from the clipboard contents after the selected page thumbnail (one keystroke)
Inserting Page from clipboard is the most common task I perform - it is how I save screenshots of online processes.
The best way I have found is the following slow and cumbersome process:
1. Right Click Page Thumbnail
2. select "Insert Pages"
3. select "from Clipboard"
4. select "Before" or "After" from dialog dropdown [why isn't this a radio button?]
5. select "OK"
Note: I choose the above rather than going through File menu because right clicking the page thumbnail always determines the target insertion area in the doc.Norm Labrecque supported this idea ·
This is one of my most frequent actions and it is very awkward to perform, it feels like it's buried. The fastest way I know is
WORKAROUND:
• open the page thumbnail view (if not already opened)
• right click page where I want to insert next to
• hold Alt key while hitting nca (for "after" ) or ncb for "before"
• hit "Enter"
DESIRED HOTKEYS:
Wanted are a pair of independent hotkeys, one for "After" and one for "Before" without any other clicks or keypresses would be very useful and efficient.
• the insertion will be at active page unless a page thumbnail is selected (left click)
• hotkey combo in desired insert Before page or After page is pressed
That's it, that's all that ought be required to insert the clipboard contents as a new page in the document.
