AI assistant
Actually make disabling the AI assistant, disable the AI assistant. I have the AI assistant disable in the settings, but I still get pop-ups asking to summarize the documents I am trying to read. These pop-ups both block the material I am trying to read and reduces the usability of the basic program, like scrolling. Also that little chat bar at the bottom should not exist when the assistant is disabled. Please for the love of God fix this. Not everything needs AI help. If I want AI help, I'll use Chat GPT

freezing when converting document
Trying to take notes of a transcript off Pluralsight course. I download the course transcript to follow along with course video and want to copy and paste text into my own notes. When the text is pasted, the formatting adds line breaks in the word document, which then creates extra work. When trying to convert to Word document, Adobe freezes and will not convert. I've attempted three times. This convert option is suggested online in order to avoid the funky pasting that occurs, so I am at a lost as what to do. As a paid subscriber, the operation of…

Disable the AI
Every time I click on one of my documents in my Home File Explorer, no matter if it is a PDF or a Jpeg or any other file type. The Adobe Reader page pops up and the ad page telling me to upgrade my account for $$$ comes up immediately after that and freezes. Even if I wanted to upgrade, I wouldn't be able to because clicking on anything doesn't work. Not only does my machine freeze, but I cannot access the document I am trying to open. Why is Adobe taking over my computer? Even if I wanted to…

create index from bookmark
I would love for an index feature to exist to create a table of context or index based on your bookmarked. It would be helpful if it uses the numbers on pages, like bate-stamped pages or section breaks

Bates Numbering Updates Not Working
Currently (as of 1/20/2026), the Bates Numbering feature does not automatically update when pages are removed. This is a new bug that started as early as 1/16/2026, possibly due to an update. Before 1/16/2026, my company could take a PDF that was created and remove pages, then simply update the page numbers with one click. Now, Adobe doesn't recognize the Bates Numbering page numbers, and they are instead individual text boxes that have to be deleted and added back to change the page numbers.

Intelligent "Smart Merge" with Content-Aware De-Duplication and Date Sorting
I manage a large archive of scanned documents stored across multiple cloud services (iCloud, OneDrive). Over time, I have accumulated many files with redundant content (e.g., the same pages scanned multiple times in different files). Currently, there is no easy way to merge these files without manually reviewing and deleting hundreds of duplicate pages.
Proposed Solution: I would like to request a "Smart Merge" feature in Acrobat Pro that includes:
Content-Aware De-Duplication: During the merge process, Acrobat should analyze the visual/text content of pages (not just file names) and automatically identify and remove identical pages.
Chronological Sorting: An option to…

Tab title name to match file name
The header/ title of the tab open in the pdf should be the same as the file name. I don't understand why Adobe is trying to guess what the title of my document should be. I know what it is and the file is named as such. Go back to that, please. The guesses are incredible incorrect, confusing and frustrating.

Resize PDF pages
It has been more than a decade that Adobe Acrobat has been unable to provide a fast and efficient means of resizing PDF pages while maintaining the ratio of the contents. Since that time, at least* two other companies have provided resizing that works and is fast and accurate: Foxit PDF [China] and PDF Studio [USA]. Why should users who pay for Adobe Acrobat also need to pay for another app in order to resize PDF pages? Why should we waste our time having to endlessly post this issue? It appears that development of this product is in some manner…

Recent release (2025.001.20668) Crashes when scrolling pages
The most recent release of Acrobat Pro as of 09/11/2025 on Mac OS Sequoia is buggy and at times almost unusable. At times I can't even scroll pages without the application hanging up. I need to force quit periodically when navigating through my document. With Adobe's continual attempt to add new features such as AI components, you bombard users with all your new brilliant ideas without fixing all the problems you morons either create or overlook.

windows explorer preview "file your are attempting to preview could harm your computer"
Windows Explorer suddenly stopped showing previews of PDF's, instead I get the message "windows explorer preview "file your are attempting to preview could harm your computer". I have unselected and reselected both the options to turn on the preview pane in windows explorer and Adobe. If I go to the document properties in Windows Explorer, there is an option under security that says "this document came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer "unblock" which I can select and then see the preview in the preview pane but I need an option to unblock ALL…

Page scroll indicator disappears.. very unnecessary and unproductive
Why does the scroll indicator disappear in the page scroll bar, when reading a pdf in adobe? See the attached screen shot. The scroll bar doesn't show the location you are in the document until you hover over the scroll bar with your mouse, which is really stupid. Why can't the page scroll indicator continue to show all the time? Not only does the indicator help you know where you are in the document, as looking at the page numbers is more cumbersome and not easy for this purpose. But the main issue is when you want to move the…

Looking for Clock In and Out Apps That Go Beyond Just Time Tracking
We’re in the middle of reworking our time tracking system and wanted to explore better clock in and out apps that offer more than just basic punch-in/out functionality. With a mix of in-office and remote employees, we’re aiming for something that’s flexible, intuitive, and offers insights we can actually use.
I’ve been testing Workstatus, and it’s been interesting so far. What I appreciate is that it doesn’t just track time—it provides data on productivity, allows location-based clock-ins (great for field staff), and auto-generates reports. It’s making our HR processes feel much more streamlined without adding complexity for employees.

Cannot add bookmarks in paid version of Adobe Acrobat – critical limitation
I am a paying user of Adobe Acrobat, but I recently discovered that I can no longer create new bookmarks in my PDFs — only view existing ones. This is a core feature I have used extensively in my work and reading, and its removal (or disabling) severely impacts the usability of the software.
If this is an intentional restriction in the new interface, I strongly urge Adobe to reconsider. Bookmarks are a basic navigational tool, not a premium extra. If it's a bug, please prioritize fixing it.
I also tested this on previously created bookmarks, and I can see…1 vote
