I was baffled to realize that Adobe Acrobat had grown to use far more memory (40 GB) than all my other applications put together, causing my computer (running Mac OS Monterey 12.6) to request force-quitting applications. It's a bit maddening that Adobe hasn't fixed what is apparently a long-standing issue. Anyway, I've tried unchecking the "Use Page Cache" box and hope it will help in the future.
