  3. Running multiple freelance profiles without getting banned

    I have been freelancing for a while and I want to branch out into different niches under separate profiles to attract different clients. The problem is the main platforms are really strict about having only one identity. How do people handle this without getting flagged and losing everything overnight?

    Summary
    Acrobat Reader becomes unresponsive when opening multiple PDFs using the /n command-line argument (separate processes). Issue reproducible outside any third-party apps.

    Steps to Reproduce

    Open Command Prompt
    Run:

    "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" /n "C:\Path\File1.pdf"

    Run again with a different PDF
    Scroll/switch between files

    Expected
    PDFs remain responsive

    Actual
    App becomes unresponsive

    2025.001.20630: also logs AdobeCollabSync.exe failure
    2025.001.20756: no failure, but still sluggish/unresponsive

  5. Adobe Reader

    The latest update to Adobe Reader DC 32 bit version 25.001.21208 no longer launches on Windows 7 SP1 x64 as the previous version worked just fine. Although Windows 7 is long out of support it is still listed as a supported OS for Adobe reader and the incompatible update is automatically being pushed out to these systems. Error upon launch is The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-winrt-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem

    Version: 2026.001.21691 64-bit

    Seach function is not working when using paratheses "(" or commas ","

    Industry standard documents for medical equipment, the DICOM conformance statements contain DICOM tags. The format is (xxxx,xxxx)
    Search for this in a PDF is not possible. There are two issues:

    • starting a search with a parenthesis "(" show not results. (see screenshot is attached document)

    • search for text with a comma "," shows -no matches- when clicking on one of the items in the search result list, where there are many matches.

  7. Bug Report - Adobe Reader free version forced sign in and hijacked .json file association

    Posting this on behalf of a client using WIndows 11. She attempted to open a PDF with Adobe Reader both at work and home, expecting to be able to open and view the PDF as normal, only it suddenly forced her to sign in. Once she signed in, the .json files on both her computers were forcibly associated to Adobe, even though it can't open .json files. It is possible the app upgraded to Pro without a subscription, which I have read is a notable issue experienced by users. This is an issue as she was using a PYQT6 app…

  9. Simplify subscription model

    Adobe Acrobat Pro subscription without (additionally paying for) bulk such as Photoshop Express, Premiere Rush, Cloud Storage, AI, Firefly and whatnot. Just a program for locally reading, creating, editing, signing, searching, comparing, converting, optimzing... PDFs.

  10. BUG: Choose Paper Source by PDF page size source and Print Support App v4 API design guide

    Acrobat Pro: 2026.001.21691 (64-bit):
    Using Virtual Printer PSA API v4 based designed drivers, Choose Paper Source by PDF page size does not function as expected.

    Preview indications within Acrobat's print dialog correctly choose PageMediaSize member within PageMediaSizeFeature of WorkflowPrintTicket, however during actual printing process, the same member(s) are not chosen.

    Instead, driver preferences default page size selection is seen in the delivered WorkflowPrintTicket. Both can be observed within the OnPrintTicketValidationRequested() event. The PDL being generated is Postscript.

    This occurs for single page PDFs, as well as those that are multipage with varying sizes. In either case all pages perfectly match…

  14. Send PDF as attachment using Outlook new

    Speaking for Acrobat Reader DC for Windows, it needs to be able to email a PDF as an attachment using Outlook new. It can already email a PDF as an attachment using Outlook classic, but Microsoft is pushing customers to move to Outlook new. I get that Outlook new does not support MAPI like Outlook classic does, but these two large companies have the resources to solve this. Not every PDF workflow is suitable to be shared using a link in an email - an attachment is sometimes best.

  15. Bug report: cannot save PDF in Windows 11

    When a PDF file is opened from a mapped share e.g. N:\test.pdf which is mapped to a Windows 2022 DFS share e.g. \contoso.com\dfs\myshare\test.pdf. In Windows 11 when saving this file adobe reader prompts the message: "This document could not be saved. Cannot save to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder". And the app suggests a temp folder on the computer with at temp file name. This issue only happens in Windows 11 and not in Windows 10. The issue has been tested with the same user account on both machines. The…

  16. Document Property / Title is filled with spaces then the PCL job name property is set with this wrong value.

    Acrobat allows the Document Properties → Title field to be filled with empty spaces. This causes the job name passed to the driver to be incorrect: the job name consists only of whitespace, which is not a valid value.

    Could this property forbid such values?

  17. 【要望】すべてのページのレイヤを非表示

    Acrobat Reader に「すべてのページのレイヤを非表示」コマンドを追加していただきたいです。

    道路台帳図面やCALS対応図面など、レイヤを多数含むPDFを扱う業務では、
    必要なレイヤだけを確認するために、毎回すべてのレイヤを手動でオフにする必要があります。

    現在は「すべてのページのレイヤを表示」はありますが、全レイヤを一つずつ非表示にするしか方法がなく、レイヤ数が多い図面では
    作業に大きな手間がかかっています。

    「すべて非表示」「すべて表示」などの一括操作が可能になると、
    業務効率が大幅に向上します。

    ご検討をよろしくお願いいたします。

  18. 「Adobe AcrobatをデフォルトのPDFアプリに設定」の通知が、デフォルトアプリに設定していても繰り返し表示される

    バージョン 2026.001.21431 をWindows 11で利用しています。
    「Adobe AcrobatをデフォルトのPDFアプリに設定」の通知が、デフォルトアプリに設定してからも繰り返し表示されます。一応、「環境設定」の「一般」で「Adobe AcrobatがデフォルトのPDFアプリケーションではない場合に通知」のチェックを外すことで通知が来ないようにはできるのですが、そもそもAdobe AcrobatがデフォルトのPDFアプリを判定する箇所にバグがあるのではないかと思い報告しました。

  20. PDF search function bug

    In a scientific PDF with references, like [1], I cannot search for the string "[1]". It says it finds nothing.

    The same search works however when using the Microsoft browser to view the same PDF.
