    As someone that almost exclusively reads scientific research papers on the tablet app, color is actually vital in effective figure interpretation. Having the ability to have several dark mode text options (not just black white inversion, think 'midnight' or 'solarized dark', etc.) while preserving original color for the figure SVGs would be extremely helpful (even if that means the figure would have a white background, at least most of the text could benefit from the darker colors).
