The old interface allowed customization which drastically increased my productivity when working in documents. I'm now slowed down by extra clicks for every. single. thing. I need to do. Please allow customization of where things show up and the ability to "pin" certain items in place.

Agreed. At minimum, standardize locations--Adobe is the only application where the "save" button is on the top right. The older version of Acrobat allowed me to customize my menu, which would stay open--very helpful when I had a number of changes to make since it reduced "clicks." Now I have a minimum of 2 extra clicks to open the menu, select the item, and then make my edit. This is a huge burden on productivity. I see other requests that want words instead of icons--while this isn't critical for me, clearly the need to be able to customize and save the orientation for optimum usage is important.
