    You are right to be cautious about trying random guesses because repeatedly handling a delicate, legacy file without a backup can cause issues.

    Luckily, if it is just a forgotten password and you still have the actual wallet file, your chances are much higher than someone who lost their seed phrase entirely. Legitimate services use high-powered clusters to brute-force combinations based on password fragments you actually remember.

    Just make sure you never send your raw wallet file or partial passphrases to anyone online who reaches out via direct messages, as it is a major security risk.
