Also having this problem, only worse, on multiple PCs with multiple users. Just opening any PDF containing any content will hang Acro in very short order. Highlighting, using the selection cursor, navigating the menu... after about 30 seconds it will hang for between 10 and 30 seconds. Probably half the time I try to save a document the same thing happens. I've experienced this first hand on PDFs containing everything from scanned documents, converted Word files, Illustrator files, and even 2D and 3D renderings. Doesn't matter what it is.
Windows 7 SP1 64-bit w/ cumulative updates from Jan or Feb
Office 2010 and 2013 with security updates as of June or July
Acrobat DC Pro 2018 - using latest builds starting a ~3-4 weeks ago through now
The only changes to our PCs in the weeks before this started happening were A handful of Office updates and whatever Acrobat updates were installed over the last few weeks. Some machine may have recently been upgraded from previous versions of Acro DC Pro (2015, 2017).
I imaged a brand new PC and installed CC w/ Acro DC using the web installer downloaded from "Desktop Downloads" after logging into my CC account on Adobe.com. Same issues.
