I spent an hour on the support line and went through all their processes to fix this and was told, "this is how it works." They suggested opening up a feature request, but adobe has gotten so far away from its customers they don't have a clue that what their programmers ship is keeping us from getting work done... and worse ... even losing our work.
This software has a bad design and asking users to troubleshoot a bad design is a waste of all our time.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThis is one of the most maddening features. I have lost work because the program allows me to work and suddenly a "SIGN ON" appears and if I don't sign on properly ... I lose work.
Who designed this?

Just adding again that I agree with this thread.
Another aggravating and lack of thought in this design that I have come across: If you are on a local intranet without internet access, the application will not start. I prefer at times for security reasons to have my home intranet off the internet and I can not utilize the program.
I am beginning to understand why so many vendors want the "cloud pricing" model and no longer offer perpetual licensing. They can do this kind of verification of licensing and ensure that they will get their $$$ without adding any new function to the product.
This is called in the United States a cash cow:
"This idiom refers to someone or something that generates a steady return of profits; a moneymaker. The phrase 'cash cow' is a metaphor for a dairy cow used on farms to produce milk, offering a steady stream of income with little maintenance."
Yep, little maintenance. I really, really disliked being "milked."
No cheers,
