    select the highlight tool

    then press " ctrl+e"

    now if you want to change the color of a highlight, the button can be placed anywhere on the page. 2 clicks. first does a drop down. second selects a color. while retaining your tradition marker for your next highlight. this is already built into adobe and works well

    wish i would have found it sooner
