Hotkeys for highlighter and highlighter color
Hey could you guys make a shortcut for highlighting on PDFs that would be GREAT HELP! This is for Adobe Reader DC. There is no shortcut for highlighter and highlighter color. It would make reading PDFs faster, more interactive, and easier to read especially on Desktop/Laptops.

select the highlight tool
then press " ctrl+e"
now if you want to change the color of a highlight, the button can be placed anywhere on the page. 2 clicks. first does a drop down. second selects a color. while retaining your tradition marker for your next highlight. this is already built into adobe and works well
wish i would have found it sooner

YES PLEASE. Temporarily changing the highlighter colour is SUCH a cumbersome process, it drives me nuts. Compare the Apple Preview program, where you just have to click on an arrow next to the highlighter button to change the colour.

It would seem simple to give a pull-down menu with your favorite 3-5 colors as highlighters. If you want to highlight in more than one color, which is something many people that use physical highlighters do (I mean, after all, you can either buy yellow or 5-pack. Do you wonder why?)
And while we are at it, why not separate (or offer the ability to separate) highlighting from commenting). What I mean is putting the highlighter/underline/sticky note next to the "save button in the menu" In a perfect world, I'd like to select my highlighter, make my highlight, and right-click to comment. Just go through those operations, and see how far you have to dig (or switch menus) to do something simple.

Bluebeam Revu has this feature. I wrote about it here: https://documentgeek.blogspot.com/2018/10/how-to-make-multiple-color-highlighting.html

Selecting would prep and pressing h would highlight. And Ctrl +h would control color at the location of the mouse.

Selecting the text would prep the hotkey and pressing "h" for example would highlight.
Maybe Ctrl + h would control highlighter color :)
