    I would like to have this also. I have a Legend of a drawing which I would like to keep on the right side while panning and zooming through the rest of the drawing. A horizontal split doesn't work for this.

    If vertical split is already possible, a horizontal split wouldn't be a huge implementation I guess, but it would be a huge help.
