  1. When adding text, the new text is sometimes behind boxes and cannot be moved forward

    Select the text box, right click and select Arrange → Bring to Front.
    Let us know if that works.

    Why Adobe, why? Every one of your programs seems to get more buggy and harder to use with every release. Send to front does nothing.
