    Try sanitizing the documents. I noticed that some documents, especially drawings, carry a lot of comments, which seem to duplicate the document text. Removing those speeds things up on my iMac.

    Go Redact -> Sanitize document, to select the items you want to remove go to "Click here", and you get a sidebar window. Save document with a different name to be safe.
