It's so annoying. I'm autistic and having my carefully-designed desktop messed up by Adobe's icon every time it updated made me so angry. I know it's not "reasonable" in a neuro-typical sense to get so angry at an icon but I can't help it. I installed an open-source alternative called Okular. It seems good. I hope Adobe will consider their disabled customers (and just generally customers who like to make their own choices about what's on their desktop) and stop this practice.
