    November 7, 2024: Still happening.

Earlier this year, it appears Adobe modified the location of the offending Office plugins, instead of installing within the user's ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content.localized/Startup.localized/ folder, they are now installed system-wide in: /Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office365/User Content.localized/Startup

Adobe this problem has been occurring since at least as far back as 2016:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/file-not-found-error-53-on-every-startup-and-quit/40d7cff2-6d41-4e03-b21f-a4db39d9881b

and is still happening in 2023:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1180344/fix-visual-basic-application-error

    The problem seems fairly straightforward:
    - Every time Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 gets updated, it installs an add-in to MS Word (linkCreation.dotm) and Powerpoint (SaveAsAdobePDF.ppam)
    - This addin fails to find a missing file: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/MACPDFM/MacPDFM.framework/Versions/A/MacPDFM

You need to stop installing add-ins to other apps without asking user permission, this should be an opt-in feature when installing.

You need to either fix the PDF add-ins, or discontinue them.
