An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Dave Banham commentedHi Prashant,
Thanks for the prompt response and for taking an interest my suggestion. From your screen shots, two out of the three methods provide a consistent way to pick and use different color highlights in support of the color coded comment filter feature. The third way, makes it very difficult to pick and use the same colors.
Using the quick tool results in the default highlight color for the specific type of comment being changed, which is not ideal when there is an occasional need to highlight in a different color. (My use case is to use the highlight colors to prioritise the comments so that the comment filter tool can be used to select them.)
By the way, I do not see what I guess you refer to as the "inplace" tool. I only have the menu bar "quick tools" and the right click context menu to access the comments properties. I am using Acrobat Pro on the continuous release stream.

Hi Prashant,
My Acrobat Pro has updated and after selecting the preview of the new UI I now have the "inplace" tool.
The new UI improves the use of the commenting tools, especially the highlighter, although the sticky color selector is a bit annoying (as it impacts the color of the next highlight comment that is created. I'd prefer to directly have a selection of different colored highlighters to hand.
Nevertheless, the color picker that is part of the comment properties dialog is still different from the "Quick Tools" and "Inplace tools" (which are essentially the same) as it has a different color palette.
PS if there is a way to batch edit the color assigned to multiple comments at once I'd like to know how to do that.
